I visited the place some 6 years ago with my girlfriend and it was a perfect trip. The walk is easy from the main road and climbing up the cascade is also easy. It is perfect for a nice walk.We tried to go again this month but we were with my 2 years old daughter and we only managed to walk like 300 m and then I carried her on my back another km but we had to return. When she will be old enough to walk there by herself we will definitely come back.

Lotrisor Waterfall is located in Cozia National Park. From Caciulata, going through the Olt Valley a distance of about 5 km, immediately after Lotrisor motel somewhere on the left side is the panel that announces Lotrisor Waterfall. From here there are about 2 km of forest road, which can be traveled by car , but you also can walk to admire the surroundings.First time we went there in winter and we made the mistake to walk from Caciulata resort to the waterfall. Now i look back and realise we were crazy . Don't do it ! Not even in summer. European road 81 going through the Olt Valley is gorgeous but it was not made for people to walk on his side, there are cars passing , big trucks and metal nets prevent the rocks from the mountain to fall on you .We learned our lesson this year and took an autobus going to the nearby village of Brezoi and the driver left us at the intersection with the forest road . The waterfall is not big but you have to walk through an enchanted forest to get there.
