Visit the old part the so called castle and the modern new parts, the calendar of light. A new café is under Construction. Outside you can enjoy the green trees in Kungsparken.

The light and appealing new part of the building merges well with the old part.For me as a temporary guest in Malmo, the library's attractions include a wide selection of foreign language papers and journals as well as a good choice of English language fiction (and other languages, too). There are facilities to plug in your laptop and study at one of the window seats with inspiring views of park & greenery (but be early if you want one of these). It is generally quiet enough to concentrate. Wifi is available for card holders -- membership is free, but bring an ID. Staff is friendly and helpful, the library organizes various cultural activities, and is open on Saturdays and Sundays. Chapeau for Malmo Public Library!

We passed by this amazing piece of architecture serving as a public library with my friends during our day trip to Malmö and I immediately fell in love in it. You can totally see yourself sitting in there, reading a book while looking out of the window overlooking the neat park located in front of it. If you walk around, you will find a few windows revealing the "library life" - machines sorting out the books and stuff.

The Malmö Library (stadsbiblioteket) have started cleaning out among books that are no longer considered suitable. They are not burning the books – only hiding them in the basement and only giving them to you on request. Stay away from this kind of politically oriented libraries.

This library are one of my favorite spots in the city, it is in the heart of the city in front of a very important park (Slottsparken), and the whole surroundings are just to die for.It has an old and new section and it blends perfectly, besides that the new section has studying tables in front of huge windows where you can glance the beauty of the park. I just love it!Besides this, it has a great collection of books and they always have great activities.

"High on the ceiling -Seein' is believin'" (a quotation of lyrics by the American singer Anya Marina) - in the Malmö city library the ceiling is truly high!

this library is so bright that even on a rainy day it does not feel gloomy. There are excellent facilities and books for children- the music room is a great idea. The library is open to any visitor to sit and read a book and I highly recommend it both for buisness travellers and families.

Do you want to read the newspapers? Here you can read the newspaper and different magazines and have some quiet time. This could be good if you are in the town for a long time

I have spent a lot of time studying at this library. Ideal for foreigners; they have a lot of English books. Membership is free and with this comes free wifi. Also numerous computers to use freely. Great staff and a lot of quiet places to study. I just love this library!
