Amazing collection of the Swedish life. Historie in a way that makes it very interesting. It is for young people and old people a nice experience in the world of Swedish life.

A lot of interesting things to see outside but as we where there in the winter it was closed. That was a disappointment . Inside was only a few things to see but in a way interesting, you can learn more about the Vikings for example.

There are a lot of things to do, try and see for the whole family. We visited with kids, aged from 6 to 11 years. We had two great days out at the museum. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit the inside part of the exhibition, but next time we will. A visit can absolutely be recommended. Kids enter for free, adults 250 SEK in entrance, but the ticket is valid for two days in a row. Really nice to visit a place where you can learn something, things to try out for kids and "plastic free". I look forward to the next visit whenever that might be.

We had a great time in this museum with my friends. People at the entrance were really nice and welcoming. The museum itself is also amazing. We went through a nice slide to get downstairs: that woke up our inner childrend ;-)The setting is gorgeous, very interactive, and you get to learn a lot of things about the region.

We really liked Jamtli, it is wonderful for all kids between the age of 1-10. Our son is three and he really really liked it, i'm so glad we decided to go there and not to the Zoo (which is also in Östersund). the only disadvantage is that it's quite expensive, it costs 250 SEK, and it's also way too big to see in one day. We were there for four hours and hadn't seen everything when we left. I recommend taking lunch/snacks on the trip.

An extraordinary museum with a most unique and wonderful tapestry at the centre of it. The exhibits are very imaginatively displayed and the staff are extremely helpful. The outdoor folk museum was not open when we were there but we could wander about the area. We had a very good light lunch in the cafe.

If you want to tavel back in time and also like history, then this Place is fantastic. Actors play the roles of people in such a fantastically realistic way, and sometimes it is hard not to just feel like you have stepped into Another Life and time! Plenty to see and do, and very near citycentre too.

Great in-or-outdoor museum. One of the best I've ever visited. Lot's to see, do and experience for ALL ages. Be transformed in the photostudio, eat great food in the forrest, visit all kind's of historical eras and in the summertime you can even talk to the people that lived during different times. The "Överhogdalsbonaderna" cannot be missed. Enjoy!

I visited Jamtli now mainly because of two special exhibitions, one with swedish painting and one by some sami/lapp artists. The first was ok but the other was not interesting....The regular exhibition of great local historic interest is very good and interesting ! Friendly museum staff and nice cafe.As it was late evening (it was dark) and november i did not visit the outdoor museum this time, but Jamtli is known for interesting exhibitions and happenings all summer, well worth visiting !It is also a nice place to visit during chrismas-time.....

I visited Jamtli in June when the outside exhibits ("Historielandet" and the old shops) hadn't opened for the summer season. But the museum was still informative and you will learn a lot about life in the old days (10-12th century). Once you've paid for your ticket and approach the beginning of the exhibition, you will encounter a friendly looking Storsjö monster in whose tummy you can slide down to the exhibition. I didn't try this since I'm too big, tall and old!Don't forget to visit the museum shop and the café. :-)
