The church has recently been restored . It is not a big church, but it is a beautiful little church. When you enter it is like you are transferred in time.

One of my favorite pasttimes in Estonia is to take pictures of old churches and blog about it. In fact, the picture attached to this church appears to be a picture from my blog that I took during my second visit to St. Nicholas. I blogged about the visit here: http://estonianchurches.blogspot.com/2012/08/orthodox-church-of-st-nikolay-in.htmlMy first visit to the church was in May of 2012, and much of the front was covered with netting to protect the parts they were restoring. When I went back, the material had been removed to reveal this beautiful church. Make sure to check out some of the paintings of icons on the outside. If you are lucky, you will find the church unlocked...I have not yet been that fortunate.

По словам гида это - самая старая действующая православная церквь на острове (всего их пятнадцать). Год постройки 1730. Внешне очень скромная, никогда не видела, чтобы кто-то входил или выходил. Но ее строгий силует согревает душу в сердце чопорного эстонского городка.

クレッサーレのメインストリート　ロッスィ通りに面している。いかにも島の教会という感じの、小さな可愛らしい教会。残念ながら扉は閉まっており、内部を見ることはできなかった。

Церковь расположена на главной улице Куресааре, калитка может быть прикрыта - но попробуйте войти. Вход в саму церковь сзади - Вам нужно будет обойти здание. Внутри - старинные иконы, красивый алтарь, а над центральной частью - необычный потолок. Церковь действующая, но службы бывают нечасто. В промежутках между службами открыто
