Beautiful medieval castle in a magical place. A place to imagine the ancient life. Like a movie scenario, magical place to go. Try to travel on summer or end of spring, because it's cold over there!

A quite stunning fort located on the edge of the sea. When you round the corner you are greeted by the most amazing view. My 9 and 6 year olds were almost overcome with excitement. Some of the walkways and vistas could scare some people and I would not let my kids go up the last steps to the highest point but the views are amazing and the history is everywhere. Great couple of hours entertainment. Highly recommend.

We visited after lunch one afternoon in May, with our 20 month old son. There were plenty of cars in the car park (where we had our picnic) but it didn't feel particularly crowded down at the fort. It's a ten minute walk from the spacious parking area to the fort, which is fairly steep on the way back up. Inside the fort, there are a lot of steps and uneven areas so little children will be better off in backpacks than buggies. There are lovely views from the fort and the structure itself is interesting. A bit more information would have been appreciated in some areas. Our son thoroughly enjoyed watching the lizard population in the courtyard too.

There is a lot of walking from the car park but it is worthwhile. The guides don't speak English but that is not a problem as most areas have a notice on display which is also in English. We arrived at 10.30 when it was not too crowded but by the time we got back to the car park at 12.30 it was packed. Worth a visit.

We spent just under 2 hours visiting this place. The tour guide was particularly interesting with a lot of useful information about the fort and its history. Some places in the fort are difficult to access with narrow stairs, especially the top tower that is essentially one-way with a low rope as railing. Kids were bored half way through but adults will enjoy the sumptuous views and history of this place.

We managed to coincide our visit with the festival taking place which had traditional music, stalls, birds of prey and chevaliers. It really helped bring the fort to life, although it did get very busy! Lovely views from every angle especially the very top of the fort - not good for those who don't like heights!Good morning spent soaking in some history!

I visited this Fort on the recommendation of a very helpful French man who taught English who kindly helped me in a supermarket. My family was busy and didn't want to visit with me, so I went on my own. This is the place where the Douglas Film "Vikings" was filmed. There wasn't much information provided but it was very pretty and beautifully situated. On a clear day you could see for miles out to sea. Well worth a few hours visit.

My wife and I spent a great morning at Fort La Latte. it is very interesting and well worth a visit. There is quite a long walk down to the Fort and a lot of climbing inside so I would caution those with mobility issues to have a look at it first. The Fort is in a beautiful location and you can climb (quite precarious) to the very top of the tower - fantastic!

The Fort has great views and great hiking especially if you take the path from Cap Frehel. I can't say it was the best fort we have ever been too but the views alone made it worth the while.
