La place de la comedie is a beautiful flourishing square in front of the impressive complex of theaters, music and opera halls. From here you can stroll along the lovely promenade on the banks of the Moselle River, watching the city's oldest buildings from the Middle Ages and the cathedral spires on the skyline of Metz.

This is a nice spot to relax and take photos. We enjoyed the gardens and view of the island. Easy walk from the cathedral.

Even in the dead of winter, this was a beautiful area. I imagine it's gorgeous in a nicer season! Unfortunately, the opera house was undergoing maintenance, so we didn't get to see that in all it's glory, but the area is gorgeous, and we really enjoyed the views and strolling along the river.

Metz, a city as large as Topeka, has an opera season, an operetta season, theater, up to date films and is an international center for jazz. This island, contains the theater, an elegant fountain and is a lovely place to stroll along the canal.

Este teatro fica perto da catedral, sendo o teatro mais antigo em uso na França. Não entramos, apenas visitamos os jardins...gostei!

Place de la Comédie находится в центре Метца за храмом Le temple Neuf, построенным во время немецкой оккупации.Площадь и все зданиия на ней представляют образец классической архитектуры. На ней же находится оперный театр.

набережная находится недалеко от собора - отличное место для прогулок и фотографирования. По пути есть ресторанчики, где можно перекусить.

nas fotos que vi, tinha muitas flores. um espetáculo. mas como fomos no fim do outono, não vi nada disso. ainda assim valeu o passeio

набережная реки Мозель - здесь нет каких-то достопичетальностей, просто само по себе красивое место с арочныыми мостами через реку и низкоэтажными дома, характерными для севера Европы.
