Another lovely religious site in Metz! Perhaps slightly less spectacular than the cathedral (only in size), it is still well worth a visit. It is not a long walk from the cathedral to Le Temple Neuf, and the area around the house of worship is lovely, too. Try strolling along the historic Moselle after you visit Le Temple Neuf!

You can only walk around it, this church is not open for public. That's a bit of a pity. Nicely situated near the river Mosselle

This is by far the best picture I took from my trip to Metz. The Temple Neuf is an amazing history holder along with its architectonic building.

This church carries an eclectic architectural style. It is placed on a little Island on the Moselle which reminds you slightly of Ile de France. The massive building radiates power. Unfortunately, we couldn't visit it from inside. In the evening, the church is well lighted but its surrounding, the bridge and the waterfront are not and it's a pity because the whole area is pitoresque.

Wanted to go inside here but it was closed so we didn't get to see inside which was disappointing but views by the side of it made it worth the walk

Every visit of Metz is not complete without visiting Temple Neuf, you can spend as little time as you want there. Since the Temple isn't open to public, you can stroll through the riverbanks and take gorgeous pictures. There are also swans in the river, that you feed and take pictures with. Overall a very picturesque location in the city for a nice stroll

Just a shame the temple is not opened for visits. Look amazing from the outside with the river on both side of the garden. Absolutely lovely.

I can't speak for the inside of Le Temple Neuf, but the view of the church from Moyen Pont is so beautiful. The church sits on a small island in the middle of the river with bridges either side. When we were there, there were more swans on the river than I had ever seen in one place.

Thanks to it's location this church dominates the riverside almost as much as the Notre Dame in Paris, sadly it's not open for visit.Best photo moment is in the late afternoon.
