We went to see the wolves as a birthday treat for me, and were not disappointed. The surroundings are beautiful, and the wolves easy to see and you can get quite close to them. They all look in good condition, and although it was a cold day out of season, we really enjoyed the experience.

If you can go to watch the feeding at about 4pm. Two young men in the wolves enclosure feeding the wolves, great to watch the only down side you need to be up on the gantry well before to get a good viewing spot. Nice walk through the park to see other wolves and to read a bit about them. They also supply leaflets in other languages.

The way to the site was well signed from the main road through Gueret and there was ample parking. Heartened by a welcome sign in English and an English version of the brochure we were a bit disappointed that the museum exhibits were only in French, but it was fairly easy to understand. The place came to life once we went outside. The wolves were easy to see, despite being in very large, natural looking woodland enclosures. Along the way were information boards in French and English which explained what the wolves' various postures mean, and also plans to develop the site to include different animals: foxes, badger, boar etc. All in all a very enjoyable way to spend 2 hours and €9.50.

This place is certainly well worth a visit. The set up allows you to view the wolves in their 'natural' environment as much as possible. They are even doing evening tours now I think. Wish we could have done that....next time.

Recommended to visit by friends so we popped over this afternoon.... luckily it was open as we didn't know it had restricted opening times so you should check the website. €9 for Adults and many other concessions. Great afternoon despite the wet weather. Not very busy given winter is fast approaching. Staff very pleasant and speak some English. Saw lots of wolves and feeding time at 4pm was really interesting. There is a movie which introduces the sanctuary and it can be viewed in English. There is a gallery museum and that has some interesting exhibits. We also enjoyed the Angora Sheep, cute bunnies and the friendly baby goats. Well worth a visit if you are in the Gueret area of the Limousin region of France.

What a wonderful place to visit. A rare chance to get up close to France's wolves. This serene, superbly maintained wolf park is well worth investigating if you have a spare afternoon. You will be assured of a fantastic view of the wolves (you can also watch them being fed) and there is also the chance to get up close and personal with some farmyard friends too! The entrance fee is very good value and, as well as the animals, there is also a museum, video room, bar and gift shop to enjoy. Nature lovers be sure to stop by!

We came to this park a few years ago, it was a very nice place with great scenery. However we picked a day which was far too hot and all the wolves were asleep. would like to revisit on a cooler day to see more of them. Good gift shop and accept student discount.

If you like nature and the 'call of the wild', this place is a must see. A well laid out nature reserve with paths where people can walk around the reserve and see wolves close up (wolf part is separated by a double wire fence and/or viewing areas with plexi glass). The design of the reserve means that you are sure to see the wolves from one place or another. Several species of wolf can be found in the park, along with small animals for children to look at. Feeding times of the wolves vary (our day was at 3pm) - would be worth finding out before you go so you can see this also. Recorded information about wolves available to carry around with you - in several languages. A small museum and café also on site. Location of the place is relatively well sign posted - park is located out of town amongst extensive woodlands.

Wolves running free in a large mountain/forest natural habitat, nothing like a zoo, can easily be observed interacting as a pack as they would in the wild. English-speaking wardens to give guided talks and answer questions. Feeding time (2pm??) definitely the best time to visit.
