The location is inspiring. The chapel is a gem, but needs to be restored to its former glory. When visiting, stay at La Maison d'Hotes du Parc. You will not regret it.

Personally, I consider this chapel the highest achievement of modernist architect Le Corbusier. The location, the design and the interior make the visit an unforgettable experience. If you are in the area, do not miss it!Recently, a convent by Renzo Piano has been added, with an information point and bookshop.

While travelling in France , stumbled on this fine example of Le Carbusier architecture .Not to everybodys taste but a fine statement to what can be done with concrete.Wellworth a visit if any where in the vacinity

There is now an excellent visitor centre (designed by Renzo Piano) but the chapel remains a beautiful, spiritual place.

Breathtaking beauty. Perfect building. Corbusier's masterpiece. Try staying in town and walking up the hill in the early morning. Plan to spend a few hours to see the building as the light shifts.

I have waited many years to visit this beautiful building. We drove past it so many times but either didn't have time to stop or had young children with us. We finally made it and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere inside the chapel is so heavenly, with it's soft, dappled light shining through the different sized, coloured and shaped windows and the soft music being played in one of the tiny side chapels.A truly heavenly place. If you are going through Ronchamp please take the time to stop.

We visited because we were in the area rather than because of a particular interest, but found the history and architecture fascinating. We walked up the road from Ronchamp and back down through the woods and would recommend this if you are moderately fit. Facilities at the visitor centre include toilets and a self-service coffee machine. Overall a pleasing visit.

Living in France, I've visited several Le Corbusier sites over the years & this is a wonderful building to visit. I'm in no way religious, so I can view this purely from an architectural view point, but there's so much about this building that delights. The Renzo Piano addition seems very sympathetic to the site. St Marie de La Tourette is also spectacular.

I should start by saying that I'm not a huge Le Corbusier fan but I understand why someone who was would want to visit. The building is interesting as are the surrounding grounds. It's still a functioning chapelle which also added to the visit. Be sure to go into the smaller side areas towards the back to see how the light from the towers filters in.
