We were on a hop on hop off bus tour from Koper when we discovered lovely Piran right on the harbour. The square is a restfull spot to sit and watch the Slovenia people go about there daily lives , a good time for a nibble of local food or drink maybe. It sits nearly on the waters edge at the most southern point of the peninsula and is one of the oldest towns of Slovenia, many little interesting street wander off from there into the maze that makes up the town and it has a good marina.. It has a great salt making history and coastal business thrives here . Great place to walk around the alleyways and find the little eating places. Great place to stop for an hour or two.

The biggest square in Piran. Full of life. If you don't know what to do, it's nice to have a walk from here on the promenade.

The square is in the center of Piran. Small but very nice, performances are given sometimes in the weekend. Local and fantastic. 这个海边小城绝对值得一去。

This is a picturesque square framed by the harbour and an ensemble of very pretty and brightly painted historical buildings. There's not much to do here except to sit or walk around, enjoy the ambiance and relax with a beer, pizza or pastry in hand. Our guide dropped us off near this square (cars are not allowed in the historic centre of Piran) and we had the opportunity to roam about on our own. We walked in to look at some of the souvenir shops and I bought some sea salt products from the "Piranske Soline" shop in the very distinct red building in the square with Venetian Gothic windows. We also walked about the narrow alleyways and up to the cathedral at the top. Piran was in all a very compact and lovely coastal town -It is no wonder Slovenians love the place!

very nice central square of Piran, largest and main square in the town. interestins thyt this sqaure is free from any autos. no auto are allowed to park there and they have to park in the town's car park in Fornače. But you could use schuttle to go to this parking.

our daughter (20 months old) loved this place. plenty of space to run around. many other kids to play with (language seems no problem for her). We (me and my wife) liked siting in the sun, totally relaxed and enjoying a local beer

This is a square in a beautiful little city, not far from Koper, Slovenia where many cruise ships stop. We took a private tour for 20 Euros that followed the coast to Piran and which gave us several hours to roam around the narrow, beautiful streets and paths. In October there were still swimmers in the sea, and a glass of wine at the seaside was just right.

What a beautiful town with its Tartini Square centred at an sheltered inlet! The square was named after the famous Baroque violinist and composer whio was born here in 1692. It was most pleasant to wander around this serene town admiring the buildings and watching life off an on the water.
