My husband and I took a day trip to Bratislava and decided to check out this museum with fairly low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised about how big it is and the information it covers. I believe it was €5 per person and we spent about an hour there. Bonus point: You can go up to the top of a tower that lets you look out over the city!

I stumbled upon this museum late in the day and spent about an hour - because it was closing. The things I saw were interesting for certain. I was unable to find the bits more interesting to me, and the ladies at the desk were unhelpful. However, it was nevertheless a good visit.

It is situated in the Old Town Hall. For 6 EUR you will see an interesting exposition of various objects related to Bratislava. The town Hall itself is also very beautiful and also you will be able to go up the tower, where you will be able to see city centre from the top.

We stopped her to gain a bit of history about bratislava, but the museum doesn't quite deliver. It shows a lot of artefact that span a the history of the city but it is not clear of the relevance and the rooms are not in chronological order, so it is confusing as to the importance and the time line.Recently renovated the museum is modern and spaced out well with people looking to assist you.The best part of the museum is the walk up the tower where you can go out side and soak in the panoramic views of Bratislava!

The City History Museum in Old Town Hall is one of the larger museums in Bratislava. (Note that the Bratislava City Museum technically encompasses several other sites in the city, with tickets sold separately). The staff were not particularly patient or understanding with my rudimentary Slovok, which made admission difficult and coloured my experience. The employees who silently follow you around made the visit a bit awkward. Most exhibits have an English description, though these are not always very informative. Still, it provides a good overview of city history and is a great place to start a visit to the town. The visit IS worthwhile, however, for the views from the top of the tower.

it is a large museum having the history of the city described in English. there is a bell tower that has an exciting spectacular panoramic view of the city. guides are helpful and friendly.

There are a few interesting bits but generally it's a weird place! The staff follow you about each exhibition like mall cops! I'm not sure if it's an attempt to be friendly or helpful but it is weird!

We went to this place because we had nothing better to do and ut was 2e for a student ticket.Me and my friends (around 20-25) were really surprised how big the place was! The exhibits were beautiful, well retracing the history of the city and the descriptions were in english! My favorite part was that we could climb the bell tower and have an amazing view from the top.I highly reccomend!

Very friendly and helpful custodians guided us around - four children aged 3-14 and their mum. The exhibit was perhaps not the most interactive, but there were many interesting items and a really nice view from tower!!

I would imagine an important museum like that in old town Bratislava would be more impressive. Dull exhibits and there was no wonder - when we were there we were the only visitors while the city was full of tourists.
