I can say that I well know the Zvolen city because I come from it. I was living there 20 years and this city is little but with big offer to make a trip. the Zvolen castle is one of the most beautiful attraction. With the exposition of Slovak national galery, caple and big exposition of archeologic foundations, is the very good place to find out somthing new about the slovakian history. From the castle you can see the whole city and also beautiful nature of Zvolenska kotlina. Dont forget to visit the castle by the visiting of the state Zvolen.

We didn't get in, castle was nice, but closed for visitors. We only had tea in teashop inside. Parking is next to the castle and it is in the middle of the town.

Even if you don't consider going there you will anyway see it from somewhere. The train passes from there, the buses as well, and it is very very close to the center! It is a beautiful castle but does not have a wow factor! If you are lucky enough you can go to the many interesting events hosted there! Also there is an awesome tea-shop housed in the castle which i definitely recommend!

Зволенский замок, доминирующий над всем городским ландшафтом Зволена, построен в конце XIV века королем Людовиком I Великим на высокой скале у места слияния рек Слатина и Грон. Старинный замок прекрасно сохранился, и туристы имеют возможность посетить его залы, в которых сегодня представлена экспозиция Словацкой национальной галереи с экспонатами готического и современного искусства. Приятно прогуляться вокруг замка и полюбоваться величием его стен и башен, сделать неплохие фото на память.

wie immer in Osteuropa - oder auch so oft wird mal aus einem Schloss eine festung und umgekehrt - hier würde ich das ganze eher als tendenziell Burg bezeichnen. Liegt c. 15 Gehminuten vom bahnhof entfernt und 5 Geh minuten südlich des zentrums. Besuch lohnt ! Persönlich mag ich eher banska Bystrica. Leider hat das neue Shopping zentrum die Infrastruktur des zentrums zerstört. Mafia - Geld sucht sich seine Wege.....

Зволен отличный отправной пункт, чтобы изучить этот насыщенный историческими местами регион. В самом Зволене главная достопримечательность Зволенский замок - совсем рядом с железнодорожной станцией. Возведен во второй половине 14-го века, конечно, были реконструкции. Замок знаменит тем, что за время своего функционирования как оборонительного сооружения не был никогда никому сдан. Сейчас здесь национальная галерея.

Il castello ha un forte impatto visivo, ma degli interni non resta praticamente nulla se non una cappella ancora consacrata e utilizzata. Bella e interessante invece l'esposizione di dipinti dal 1500 al 1700 circa, anche di pittori italiani.

Внутри сейчас - филиал Словацкой национальной галереи (SNG), мы лишь посмотрели на стены и внутренний двор, а также зашли в чайную внутри самого замка, выпили вкусный чай.

Замок неплохо сохранился, по нему очень приятно гулять благодаря гостеприимным сотрудникам:)) И добраться до замка легко, т.к. Зволен - узловая автобусная станция.
