Very good tour of Marsala winery and wine. Much more interesting than one would imagine. The wine tasting was very well done. Marsala is comparable to a tawney port. They also make a Moscato. The shop had very interesting wines as well as other products like olive oils,vinegars, and flavored nuts w honey etc.

A very interesting tour with an excellent guide who spoke excellent English. It was very tastefully done and the wine tasting at the end was leisurely and the wines were accompanied by appropriate accompaniments

We started getting knowledge on the Florio Family during our stay on Favignana and I have to say that concluding our holiday with the Cantine Florio was the perfect ending. A majestic Winery which keeps traditions alive through it's tours and products. The tour included also a wine tasting which was professionally organised. There are several wineries in Marsala but since we visited other places related to Florio we wanted to go to this one. It is suggested to reserve before going since there are specific times and specific number of people per sessions which can be accepted.

A truly recommended experience. Make sure you phone and ask for the times of wine tasting sessions. Sessions can be held both in English and in Italian. Although we understand both languages luckily we chose the English session and we were a group of only 10 which made it easier to understand and to follow. The guide was very helpful and made the experience a whole lot more interesting. The wine tasting session is very well organized and tastes great too. An hour session costed Eur10 and we tasted 3 different types of wines which is good.

Beware of the wine tasting times - these are usually held at 3.15 in the afternoon and they are not very accomodating to people who turn up because they happen to be in the area. Pity as we would have bought alot of wine.

E' stata veramente una grossa delusione. arrivare a Marsala il sabato mattina per visitare le cantine Florio e trovarle "chiuse"... per poi apprendere dal benzinaio di fronte che l'inverno chiudono dal venerdì a mezzogiorno fino al lunedi.... capisco che lo scarso afflusso del periodo rischia di non coprire i costi, ma il turismo credo si incentivi anche con qualche piccolo investimento.... il cui ritorno non è sempre immediato... pazienza, ma la cosa non è risultata..... ben fatta.

In der Cantina Florio in Marsala trifft man auf äußerst gut vorbereitete Führer. Für 10 Euro wird man nicht nur in die Geschichte der Familie Florio eingeführt, sondern erfährt natürlich auch viel über die Herstellung des berühmten Marsalas. Am Ende kann man drei verschiedene Typen (süß, mittel, trocken) verkosten. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Per 10€ è possibile partecipare alla visita guidata delle cantine (telefonare per gli orari precisi) accompagnati da una guida molto preparata e, soprattutto, da un'ottima degustazione finale. Purtroppo la visita non comprende gli impianti di imbottigliamento (a me interessavano) ma è comunque un'attività da fare!

siamo stati a marsala dopo che siamo scedi da una barca a vela avendo a disposizione una bella mezza giornata, il signor Gaspare propietario della marsala shuttle transfer escursioni, ci ha consigliato di visitare le cantine florio, e perchè no fare una visita guidata che lei stesso ci ha prenotato, è stato davvero una bellissima esperienza nel visitare le cantine e nel degustare le loro prelibatezze, VA CONSIGLIATA.
