Pantelleria is a beautiful and very esclusive place. It is not very easy to get there because direct flights from the main Italian cities are only in very high season that is only from middle of June up to the end of August. I recommend the low season because the weather is very nice all over the year especially in June, September or even October. We have been at the Specchio di Venere ( which means the mirror of Venus) in June. You can walk all around the vulcanic lake and also swim. There are some spots which have some thermal water but in reality the water is not too hot. The athmosphere is beautiful and nature quite stunning. If you want to eat a little something go to the small trattoria called Pina. You have to a little patient and then you will eat a beautiful "pantesca salad" with tomatoes picked directly from her garden. Relax and enjoy.....

Siamo andati per la prima volta in inverno a Pantelleria ,tempo da lupi acqua e pioggia,ma il suo fascino e' rimasto invariato, anzi , vedere tanto verde fiori mandorli già in fiore pascoli verdi fra le montagne , sembrava di essere nell' Engadina. Credetemi provare per credere.

Lo Specchio di Venere non po' non colpire per la sua singolarità. E' un pezzetto di cielo caduto in terra. Non si potrà restare che affascinati dai suoi colori. Se poi vorrete fare quattro passi ed andare a sud del lago, potrete cospargervi con i suoi fanghi salutari per poi bagnarvi nelle sue acque calde (a volte anche troppo). A sud-est del lago vi sono anche dei canneti e durante il giorno, ma soprattutto verso sera, potrete imbattervi in uccelli acquatici. Sarà un'esperienza che non dimenticherete.

Naturalmente...bellissimo.....lo si può ammirare dall'aereo mentre si atterra sull'isola, ma ancor di più con una sana passeggiata intorno ad esso, la cosa bella è che ad ogni angolazione acquisisce punteggio....consigliatissimo di mattina fino al primo pomeriggio e nelle giornate di scirocco...

Un'esperienza unica: ti cospargi di fango, fai il giro del lago, torni a bagnarti nelle acque calde. Una vera e propria SPA a cielo aperto, puoi sdraiarti sulla spiaggia a prendere il sole, puoi fare un bagno rinfrescante nel lago, una tappa obbligata.

In Italia i luoghi incantevoli certo non mancano, ma Pantelleria vi stupirà ad ogni scorcio e questo è solo uno tra i più suggestivi che quest'isola saprà regalarvi. Percorrendo strade tortuose vi affaccerete al termine di una salita su questo anfiteatro naturale dove uno specchio d'acqua termale vi ammalierà con il suo colore. Una vera stazione termale naturale dove potrete rilassarvi tra fanghi ed idromassaggi tutti offerti..da madre natura!
