Went on a visiting tour, I happened to be the only guest and was taken around privately. A very interesting castle to visit knowing that the last queen Margarita of Italy reigned for 26 days before a referendum declared Italy a republic. She choose this place as her holidays residance and her presence can still be seen and felt when one looks close enough aroind this valley. Very special and authentic indeed. The owner of the castle kept everything, except for some furniture, original to pay respect to her. An amazing story indeed.

This place is fine to visit if the weather doesn't permit you to enjoy the mountains by means of hiking or skiing.

A 20 minute walk from the centre of Gressonney St Jean, which is worth a visit (delightful coffee and light lunch at the Cafe Pinter), the Castel Savoia is an impressive grey-stone, many-turretted 19th century castle built as a summer residence for Queen Margaret of Savoy. We chose to go on a Thursday, the day we found that it closes but it was still worth a visit, even though the snow was so deep we could not walk all the way round. If you walk on a little further, you get to the small Weissmatten ski area. If you have a ski pass, make sure you get the free bus there and back - on others you have to pay!

Un castello ottimamente conservato, dove è possibile rivivere gli avvenimenti e le sensazioni dell'italia monarchica di inizio '900.Grazie anche alla passione delle guide e dei loro racconti.Imperdibile se si è nella zona.

Bellissimo da fuori ma anche dentro. .Castello dire in veste moderna con particolari che chiudono il cerchio di una visita ai castelli. .complimenti alla guida che con affetto e con un tocco quasi da geloso custode ci ha fatto rivivere la storia di questa stupenda valle. .

castello ben corservato, un tuffo nella storia....atmosfera da favola- molto bello anche il giardino antistante il castello- da vedere assolutamente

Con un prezzo veramente irrisorio (6€ per 2 adulti e 2 bambini sotto i 13 anni) visita guidata al castello fatto erigere dalla Regina Margherita. Residenza estiva a Gressonay, con fantastiche viste sul Monte Rosa. Belli gli interni. Per chi soggiorna a Gressonay è da vedere. Guida simpatica e cortese.

Costruita nel 1904, questa villa dall'aspetto di castello del 1500 nasconde una piccola raccolta di 'innovazioni' tecnologiche ed architetturali incredibili per quel tempo.Impianto di termosifoni e centrale elettrica privata, scala autoportante e volte in legno tondeggianti.Perfettamente conservato permette di parrare un'oretta immerso in un parco dalla vista fantastica sul ghiacciaio del Liskamm.La visita costa 3 euro ed é guidata , fa rivivere, grazie alla passione del nostro accompagnatore, i tempi passati e la storia della regina Margherita.Vale la pena!! Non é Chambord , ovvio!
