When they are frozen they are brilliant to climb on, but a little busy when fresh snow fall rules out many of the other cascades.

If in the area, definitely worth a visit. The water is crystal clear, the path is well maintained. You need to climb a bit going up and it could be slippery because the earh tends to be wet.

The falls are quite beautiful; however, care needs to be taken on the trail leading up to them, since there are portions of the trail which are poorly maintained. Viewing the falls is well worth the hike--but trekking poles are a useful adjunct!

from the parking of Lillaz take the left street, it is a climb up bit then you arrive up the waterfalls and can get down, which is easier the the road that goes from the city center to the waterfall and up.

Worth a visit. We had a long hike where we started in Lillaz and completed at the waterfalls. It felt like a reward.

After a short walk you reach these very beautiful waterfalls in a beautiful setting with gorgeous views all around. Not to be missed staying in Cogne.

The best series of waterfalls I have ever seen. A short hike will delight you. A longer hike (up to 10 km) along the river will show you some of the most wonderful series of falls you could wish to see. Not huge, like Niagara of the ones in Brazil (Iguazu, I believe), but incredibly pretty and still powerful, though relatively small. Go in June when the snowmelt and rainfalls are most active.

This is probably very crowded in the summer, as it's an easy walk from Cogne, but it was spectacular in uncrowded September.
