If you're passing, you must stop for a dip. In September the small 'beach' is almost empty and the water is as warm if not warmer than the beaches further down the coast. Also the scenery is out of this world, make sure you swim round the corner to the sea cave. Park at the top for free. Not suitable for smalh children.

If you are around in August, the little beach will probably be overcrowded. Therefore I suggest to just bring towel, goggles and enjoy the beautiful transparent waters !!

Driving up the Adriatic coast from Santa Maria di Leuca to the north you may have a “déjà vu” feeling; the road looks so much like Costa Amalfiata, running at the edge of steep cliffs, high over the sea, into a green open tunnel! After about half hour of an enjoyable driving we started passing a bridge and..!! It was there! The amazing fiord started unfolding before our wide open eyes!! Unexpectedly, since it is not seen before you come on the brigde! The crystal clear waters, the caves, the interesting diving experience has paid us back for the down-up climbing. In September the tiny beach is not crowded and we fully suggest a cooler stop. Yet, even looking at the stunning landscape from up the bridge is THE experience!

Un posto stupendo e selvaggio (ancora). Una conca è un fiordo che lasciano senza fiato. Da quelle rocce i più temerari si lanciano in tuffi da infarto ! Beati loro che hanno sto coraggio !! Comunque da no perdere!

L'Italia comincia in questo bellissimo lembo di terra, politicamente dimenticato, meriterebbe piu' infrastrutture ed una adeguata strada che eviti di attraversare i centri urbani congestionati... Spettacolare, non cercate all'estero quello che c'è in Italia

un posto molto suggestivo è certamente "ponte Ciolo" situato in una piccola insenatura "fiordo" è veramente unico. da visitare.

Luogo imperdibile per chi va in Salento. Notevoli le passeggiate da e per il Ciolo. Tra cespugli di macchia mediterranea e panorami mozzafiato, in qualunque stagione si incontrano fiori di ogni tipo.

Lo troviamo sulla litoranea che va da S: Maria di Leuca ad Otranto. Un alto viadotto ce lo mostra in tutta la sua grandiosità. La mancanza della quinta stella è dovuta solo alle condizioni delle scale per scendere a mare ed alla "spiaggia", una mera colata di cemento.

L'acqua del piccolo fiordo si presenta limpida e con magnifici colori che vanno dal turchese all'azzurro. Nel periodo estivo per la presenza dei visitatori diventa un luogo caotico.
