Brindisi is a small compact city easily explored on foot. It is a pleasing mixture of little streets and main tree-lined shopping areas and piazzas. The waterfront is a lovely area and is, in part, home to the end of the Appian Way, the ancient road that led from Rome to Brindisi via Taranto. It is worth visiting this point and gazing out to sea while reflecting on the history of this place. Like many Italian cities, Brindisi is best experienced during weekend mornings or in the early evenings. I was pleasantly surprised by Brindisi.

The only reason we were in Brindisi was to catch the ferry to Athens. Had planned on having some time in Brindisi but due to an incident on the road that delayed us significantly, we just barely made it.

Very traditional old world city. Streets tiny and slab bed with small piazzas all over. Lots of culture going back to roman times and lots of old churches too. Now having beautiful waterfront development to with bars and restaurants overlooking harbour.

Stayed in Brindisi during our short visit of Puglia region. We loved it. The seaside drive is beautiful, the airport is only 10 minutes drive and Tours of Puglia organized our excursions amazingly

This is one of those places that you just need to walk around to really experience the culture and enjoy the architecture. Your could easily spend a few days wandering and taking in the sites. Really enjoyed our time here.

City like a documentary about ww2nd. Still Leader Mussolini's statues and atmosphere around the cities. Old city is very interesting to visit. Fisher's bay and the small harbour still smelling 1940's.

We only had 1 evening, but we could have used more time to explore this lovely town! The architecture was beautiful with plenty of lanes to get lost in as you explore. Definitely a pedestrian town as many of the streets are 1 way. Park your car and wander!
