My wife and I did a tour and tasting a couple of days ago with Daniel. We wanted to do the cooking course but unfortunately the chef was on holidays ... this broke our hearts even more when we saw the kitchen!! Wow! Capezzana is an amazing historic winery that is a must see and Daniel did a fantastic job of acquainting us with the winery, it's history and the magnificent wines! Make sure you buy an 804!! Thanks Daniel

We enjoyed all aspects our stay in Capezzana...some of the highlights were the fresh scented air and long walks along the winding cypress lined road, and the unbeatable view of prato and florence in daytime and at night. We could always spot the Duomo!The Vin Santo produced at the winery is a well kept Tuscan secret and their rose is also excellent. A great place to spend quiet time with family or for a day out to with delicious Tuscan food and wine tasting tour.

We toured the winery with Davide as our guide, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was knowledgeable and interesting. At the tasting, he was able to share information about the wines and about the area in general. We loved every wine we tried from the Rose to the Vin Santo (especially the Vin Santo) and enjoyed sitting with Davide, eating biscuits, and savoring the wonderful wine. At the end, Davide event drew us a map of the area with recommended restaurants. He went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. I highly recommend the wine and the tour. You won't be disappointed.

The Contini Bonacossi Family produce some of the most delightful wines in the Carmignano region and their estate is a true delight. Our tour of the cellars and a wonderful tasting with Daniela was one of the highlights of our 2 week tour of Tuscany. And we also must thank the most gracious Serena Contini Bonacossi, whose family was our hosts, for arranging a most exceptional luncheon at Il Falcone in Poggio a Caiano. Serena was most responsive from our first email requests for information to our tour etc. These folks really exemplify Tuscan Charm and Hospitality. Bij onze aankomst werden we warm onthaald .Echter toen we het huis binnen gingen verdween ons enthousiasme met de seconde :de typische Toscaanse woning rook heel muf er stond schimmel in de douches de douches zelf waren niet stevig , je moest heel voorzichtig de deuren open en dicht doen of anders vielen ze eruit door het gebrek aan vliegenramen konden we ook niet alle badkamers gebruiken (er was namelijk een muggenplaag die langs de openstaande ramen dan zouden binnenkomen) de vliegenramen die wel in de ramen stonden waren niet 100% aangesloten met de raamkozijnen , zodat de muggen ook overal in het huis zaten alles in de keuken was heel vuil en plakkerig en bood helemaal geen comfort, we hebben eerst het eetservies , glazen, bestek, tassen , koffiemachine (waarvan de stekker niet past in het stopcontact en geen adapter voorzien was), afwasmachine, frigo moeten afwassen voordat we deze konden gebruiken.... de oven hebben we zelfs niet durven gebruiken .de frigo en diepvriezer koelden niet goed er was geen airco voorzien in het huis maar er waren wel ventilators (geplaatst aan het plafond) waarvan er sommigen een verschrikkelijk tikkend lawaai maken als ze draaien ( door de warmte waren we wel verplicht om deze op te zetten) “de groene ruimte” rond het zwembad was eigenlijk een onkruidveld met wat kale plekken, waar het onkruid redelijk hoog stond ... echt geen aangename plaats om te vertoeven .Bij onze aankomst werd ons gezegd dat we een “guided tour” op het domein zouden krijgen , deze hebben we niet gekregen ... Woensdagavond hebben we informatie gekregen ivm de “guided tour” die gegeven wordt , de mogelijkheid om dagelijks vers brood te bestellen (wat eigenlijk niet op een dagelijkse basis bleek te zijn) , ... deze info hadden we de 1ste dag moeten ontvangen.We hebben wel de schoonmaakkosten niet moeten betalen ter compensatie en er werd wel toegegeven dat het sanitair en de keuken gerenoveerd moet worden. Alleen spijtig dat dit niet gebeurd is vóór onze vakantie.

Ottima enoteca a conduzione familiare. Qualità dei vini medio/alta. Formaggi e salumi ben fatti e prodotti fatti in casa davvero saporiti. Personale cortese. Ho assaggiato la panzanella, una vera delizia. Locale caratteristico, terrazzo che si affaccia su Firenze. Unica pecca, le zanzare.

Il posto è spettacolare, bellissima collina, tenuta affascinante con una vista da favola.Consiglio di fare una telefonata e prenotare il tavolo in veranda a ridosso del colle. Ottimi i vini, i salumi, i formaggi, e buonissime le quiche fatte in casa. Bella atmosfera, ottimo per cene tra amici che durano ore. 4 stelle solo perchè mi piacerebbe che si buttassero un po' sui dolci.
