This suspension bridge is remarkable for at least two reasons.The first is its character in itself, of engineering work that arouses strong emotions in visitors, being one of the longest pedestrian suspended bridges in the world.Some reviewers wrote that the path isn't recommended for those with fear of heights. I would fade this statement: I suffer from fear of heights, but I crossed the bridge without major problems. I would say that those who aren't afraid to get on a ropeway, can also enjoy this bridge: it is well protected by closed railings, and even if you wanted you could not fall.The second reason of interest is that it tells to us of a recent past (about a century ago) in which this region was the center of busy metallurgical industries, today completely disappeared and becoming subject of industrial archeology. It is just to shorten the walking trails of the workers who came to the factories, that this bridge was built, which is also now only a tourist attraction

The history given and the reason for its construction made it worthy of our time. We walked it to the otherside. A neat and fun place to visit

Not for the fainthearted,this is a narrow foot bridge that is almost 100yrs old!!Striking views and mountain scenery,the mideivel town of popiglio is on the other side...and mammiano basso is on the side of the laghetto called le feriere(iron)this is where many people worked at one time....

Con la bimba e difficile ...ma un bel pezzo lo abbiamo fatto..ne vale la pena!!!!E una prova per molti....

Premesso che soffro di vertigini e non so neanche io come ho fatto.Tornavo di sera dalla Val di Luce con il mio fidanzato che mi ha raccontato di questo ponte tra i più lunghi al mondo (212,4m),passando abbiamo notato che era illuminato con delle luci al led che lo rendevano molto suggestivo direi.Cosi ci siamo buttati e abbiamo provato.A metà fa un po paura ma poi ti viene la motivazione troppo di raggiungere l'altra parte.OTTIMA TERAPIA PER CHI HA PAURA DEL VUOTO E DELL'ALTEZZA..N.B.Provato di notte forse fa meno impressione.

Il ponte passa sopra un torrente e formato da cavi in acciaio piu o meno sara lungo 200 / 250 mte una passerella se si incontra qualcuno che procede in senso contrario bisogna mettersi in costa per passare, e sicuramente da provare le sponde sono abbastanza alte e la pavimentazione e fatta da una grataSotto al ponte c'e un parco con dei giochi per bimbi un bar ristorante e un lago intorno al lago vi sono vari tavoli per pic nic.

posto suggestivo Molto divertente per i bambini...Io non sono riuscita a salire,ma xché ho paura delle altezze,in realtà non c'è nessun pericolo. Poco segnalato però e pochissimo parcheggio e quello del laghetto era ghiacciato e inagibile. Noi siamo stati in inverno e c'erano poche persone...ma in estate non so come fanno le persone x lasciare la macchina

... wenn man die über 240m lange und bis zu 40m hohe frei schwingende Fußgängerbrücke - einer der längsten ihrer Art - den Taleinschnitt überquert. Die Konstruktion ist zwar stabil, aber auch sehr transparent ... und auch ein sehr fotogenes Stückchen Toskana.

Sono stata al ponte sospeso diverse volte, la prima quando ancora era molto piu pericolante di adesso, e negli anni è stato reso molto più stabile, tanto che quest'anno ho convinto anche mio marito che soffre di vertigini. Consiglio di provarlo anche a chi crede di essere particolarmente sensibile all'altezza, basta guardare avanti..magari evitate il week end quando sul ponte c'è una maggiore concentrazione di persone e bambini che fanno oscillare un po'di più il ponte.Attenzione a non lasciare nulla in vista nell'auto perché l'ultima volta (una domenica pomeriggio di agosto) hanno aperto e rubato in alcune auto vicine alla nostra.

Sono andato un po scettico, solo per fare una passeggiata, ma una volta vista la grandita del ponte, l'opera fatta e la natura circostante, la calma è la vista.. Devo dire che è stato tempo veramente ben speso
