Outside is not really impressive, but if you get inside, you can see a great piece of medieval architecture - the councel is very impressive.

The initial sight of the exterior of San Andrea hints that it might be special, but inside one can only marvel at the beauty of this seventh century gem. The highlights are the exquisite pulpit carved by Pisano with scenes from the life of Jesus from the Nativity to the Crucifixion with accuracy in the detail that is remarkable. The crucifix , by the same artist , depicts a clothed Christ and is extraordinarily beautiful, These alone would make a visit worthwhile , but there is a painting and a carved font that are also so beautiful that I came away from this church thinking how privileged I had been to have it all to myself on a Sunday afternoon. This is definitely one of the hidden jewels of Tuscany.

Very nice romanesque church. The pulpit is beautiful, I could compare it even to the one in the Siena cathedral.

Il pulpito di Sant'Andrea di Giovanni Pisano é un monumento curioso in marmo. Da vedere. Il resto della chiesa normale.

la chiesa di sant'andrea ha all'interno molti tesori tra cui il famoso pulpito di GIOVANNI PISANO che ha un impianto esagonale e raffigura la dottrina della redenzione cristiana e le sculture hanno diverse interpretazioni allegoriche

bellissima con dei pezzi meravigliosi. Quando l´abbiamo visitata non c´erano altri visitatori, per questo é stato un momento magico.
