The symettry and layout of this square makes it one of the most charming ones in Tuscany.Obviuosly Florence is more impressivebut Pistoia is well worth a visit.

Very nice to be here, lots of nice and interesting buildings around this square. Be aware that museums are closed for some hours in the afternoon, to be open around 15:00 again.

Beautiful Duomo with historical and beautiful church off the side street. Our Monsignor performed a mass in this church for us... absolutely breathtaking experience.

After visiting Duomos all over Italy this summer this one really stood out. It was very quiet despite being an August early afternoon and we enjoyed being able to wander freely without crowds of tourists. Highly recommend a trip to this little town if you are ever anywhere near it. We spent a good 6 hours wandering, drinking reasonably priced coffee, soaking in the atmosphere. You can also park just on the outskirts and catch a shuttle bus to save your legs a bit.

This is a very old church and has some great art work worth seeing. It is huge inside and must go and see it if you are in Pistoia.

Pistoia, a medieval town just a short train ride from Florence,has the piazza del duomo as the main attraction. It is immense and crowned by early and late medieval religous and civil beautiful architecture. My advise is to avoid visits in wendsday and saturday, market days. The ,market is not interesting, you can't move around and one can hardly see the place.

Pistoia non é esageratamente turistica, la sua piazza é stupenda. Il palazzo del comune si trova pure lì e vale la pena dare un'occhiata.

Tante Città hanno il loro fiore all'occhiello... il Nostro è Piazza del Duomo.... Se è dispersiva da un lato dall'altro è protettiva...Le Logge son Uniche... e il soffitto dipinto del tribunale racconta la nostra storia..... Per non parlare del Duomo e del Battistero...un consiglio...AVVICINATEVI ALL'ARTE.....

Splendida combinazione di monumenti e stili prospicienti la piazza, dal Duomo con facciata imponente in stile pisano al piccolo gioiello che e' il battistero, alla torre campanaria in parte ricoperta di marmi in stile pisano e in parte grezza, al palazzo del comune piu' severo ed aulico fino ai vari palazzi nobiliari e privati di varie epoche.Il mercatino del sabato -certamente interessante per il commercio locale- toglie splendore alla piazza, da rivedere in un altro momento

Нам повезло- мы были в выходной, но рынка не было, а была миссионерская процессия , как раз выходившая из кафедрального собора. Так воедино и сложилось впечатление об уникальности и города, и площади - прихожане, дети, участники шествия в исторических одеяниях ...
