We paid for a tour which for 3 euro pp was definitely worth it, check opening hours and tour times. The guide was very informative and interesting. Included in the tour there is the visit to the Abbey, the Museum, the Crypt, the Cathedral and the Cloister. The architecture is amazing. The old village of Corpo di Cava is within walking distance from the Badia. Take the bus down into Cava town and stroll along the shops, stop for a coffee in one of the many bars.

ok so i have been to this place a 100 times from a child right through. this church is imaculate, unfortunatly i have noticed that it isnt open all the time as there is no permanent priest anymore - so make sure you go when mass is held.another itme one should try is a tour of the monastery honestly amazing.

If you are staying on the Amalfi coast & are offered a trip to Cava courtesy of the commune for an E5 charge my advice is: be sure to take it! This visit to a place of prayer that celebrated its millennium last year was fascinating. Arriving at the front it doesn't seem too large but look at the side to see how large it is perched on top of a mountain. Your tour will visit the new basilica and part of the old including the crypt/catacombs. There is a museum where some paintings & old parchments illustrated by the monks are displayed. Look out for the beautiful tiled floor in the apse (taken from another abbey) and the old pulpit in the current church. Pity the tour does not include the library. Entry cost was a very reasonable 3 Euro. Well worth it.

Ci siamo arrivati in un giorno piovoso e non c era anima viva. Un monaco ci ha fatto vedere i luoghi e ne siamo rimasti affascinati ....mi ha colpito quanto la costruzione è sotto la roccia, la mensa. ..Consigliatissima

Suggestiva la visita alla Abbazia, immensa e ben decorata, da vedere il grande organo e la sala dei libri copiati dagli amanuensi. Unica.

La guida è indispensabile per conoscere le storie e i percorsi di questo luogo affascinante. Ma la trovate sul posto ed è accessibile per tutte le tasche.

Visitare la millenaria Badia della Santissima Trinità è stata un'esperienza molto gratificante. Localizzata su una verde collina, poco lontano dalla deliziosa cittadina di Cava dei Tirreni, è una struttura enorme, ben restaurata, piena di fascino e di storia. Molto interessante anche la chiesa, peccato che la celebre biblioteca sia accessibile solo agli addetti ai lavori. Le visite si effettuano solo con la guida, la nostra è stata molto competente e gentile. Come al solito l'ingresso ai nostri siti è più che economico ( 3 euro ).

Ho visitato completamente questa basilica grazie ad una visita guidata. E' molto antica e piena di fascino. Veramente stupenda!!!!
