If you got to the Faro Capo Vaticano you will get a spectacular view of the water. It's at the tip of the peak. The customer service is not so great, there's a bathroom but there wasn't any soap and the beverage choices are very limited. The view blows you away, when you get there head all the way to the right and there's a small hiking trail around the hill where you can get some great photos.

If you are visiting the Tropea region, you have to visit Capo Vaticano Bay. It is lovely, the water and the landscape are beautiful. You have both options: public and private beach, Form there you can also take small ferries for 1 day trip to the Eolie islands.

This is one of the most beautiful view in Italy and therefore , of the world , on the Calabrian coastline , Sicily with imposing Etna and eolian islands with Stromboli . The colours of the sea are unique!

My husband and I went to Capo Vaticano on November 1, All Saints Day. Everything was closed except for one bar with a panoramic view of Calabria, the Strait of Messina and the northern corner of Sicily -- they were closing in two days so we just made it. We could also see the beach and clear turquoise water below. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed our drinks which came with complementary salami and olives. A few other couples stopped in, but it was definitely at the end of the tourist season. It was a beautiful day, and we truly enjoyed our short visit. Would gladly go back and spend more time there. There's good parking near the lighthouse.

Lovely views of the area. We came back to watch the sunset and see the islands all appearing on the horizon

Well worth a visit for the far ranging views, we parked by the lighthouse and walked along the cliff path and then had a coffee in cafe overlooking Grotticelle beach.

It is one of the most beautiful places I've seen. In the Capo Vaticano are amazing reefs, beautiful beaches and incredible clear sea. I visited a lighthouse, from which is a magnificent view on reefs and sea. To the Capo Vaticano I traveled by train from the Zambrone where I was staying in the hotel Scoglio del Leone. From train station to the lighthouse and reefs, you can get comfortably by taxi for a small fee (5 euro), or you can go on foot like me. But the road is long and leads steep uphill or downhill, so it is better to get there by car. On the way to the reef I met one native, who took me there by car and showed me the most beautiful places. He recommended me to see one of the most beautiful local beaches "Grotticelle". I thought, it took me short time to get there from the lighthouse, but the road on Grotticelle beach is also long and leads steep downhill (back uphill), fortunatelly I met fiendly native again, who took me there by car. I must say people here are very friendly and willing to help.
