Lake Garda is the cleanest, deepest and warmest of the Italian lakes which acts as a solar panel during the winter thereby avoiding most frosts. Avoid the est side which is very touristy in season. The mid-west of the lake is depightful with many good hotels and fine restaurants

This, for my wife and I on our 40th Wedding Anniversary, was a truly enjoyable and memorable week. We took all of the Tours that were on offer, and all were terrific indeed, especially the bus tour all around the beautiful Lake Garda and the trip to Malcesine with its chair lift up 1,800 metres right to the very top where we saw the many cows with their bells on their necks, the paragliding and the most stunning scenery. Our Tour Guide was called Claudia and having already done it for 18 years she really had a superb knowledge of the whole area and it's history. We will definitely visit Lake Garda again very soon, and would recommend it to everyone.

A beautiful place to visit but within 5 hours of us booking into the Garda Hotel, one of the Tonelli group, thieves entered our locked room and stole 500 euros from our locked safe, we know that many other rooms were entered in this way and thousands of euros were stolen. The tour guide was very helpful with the police and crime report, the Hotel promised a lot but did little. It was our first time in Italy and the first time with Cosmos the tour operator and it ruined our holiday. BUT we will return to the Lakes however we will never stay in the hotel again. We sent a letter to Cosmos shortly after we came home and have not had a reply ( Dec) needless to say that we will never use them again. I hope that TripAdvisor publish my review because others need to be aware of this incident.

Salo is just an excellent place to visit. It's peaceful calm and picturesque. It relaxes you and excites too.it has brilliant walks on the lake shore and beyond. The best place on Garda by far - and handily placed to visit Milan, Verona, bardolino, Bologna , Venice and even countries like France,Germany and Slovenia. You'll never tire of this place.

One of the wonders in the bucket list to obtain. Drive there, have cash and dont even try to take money from an ATM - will not receive. Please take a boat for the small cruise. Anything you eat, drink, see, smell and feel here will be a complete satisfaction to all!

me and my husband were on our holiday travelling around Europe late summer, we stopped and camped at lake Garda and was taken back by its beautiful views, we took a boat trip over to malcescene which was just as beautiful, we ventured up to a castle and from the top you could see 360 degree views of the lake and the landscape that surrounds Garda, would definitely recommend seeing this lake as big as it it just wish we had longer to go round the whole of the lake.

One of the best places to relax and have fun together!! The old castles, churches, buildings are staying together with new villas, which all together are surrounding the lake with a magic result! Many marinas also full of boats and you can enjoy a stroll, cycling, or sailing. The view in almost every place of the lake is breathtaking!!

We stayed at Salo, Lake Garda. Once of the cleanest, friendliest places that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The prices were very very reasonable and we just loved the fact that you only needed to jump on a ferry to visit one of the numerous places around the lake. There was more than enough to keep us occupied for the week that we were there.
