If you want to have a fantastic lunch and a good walk (to walk off the amazing food!) then head here. It's a beautiful place for long or short walks and picnics, as well as an amazing restaurant (Da Rosa). We saw herons and a family of wild boar, with little 'humbugs' in tow, beside the lake, taking a drink.

After missing this Abbey on our previous trip, this time we made it for a short visit. The site is easily reachable as it is very close to the exit of the freeway. Unfortunately being a Monday we could not join the guided tours or visit the shoe shop as both were not operating on this day. However, we walked around the site and visited the church. The grounds are extensive, as there is a huge park with tall trees, and you could spend a lot more time here. There is a restaurant, another small eatery, a herbal/souvenir shop, a B & B, and also an equestrian centre next door. The Abbey is very well preserved and peaceful. It is a nice nature area to walk around. We will definitely return. High recommended.

This is a large country park around the old abbey with much historical interest in a museum area showing how the monks produced wine and olive oil. The cafe is good too!

L ' abbazia di Filtra dista pochi km da Macerata è un isola pedonale circondata dal verde . Ideale per una passeggiata rilassante , ideale per i bambini essendo ovunque prati verdi e curati . Si può visitare la chiesa ed il convento , intorno ci sono tanti animali di una fattoria ed anche un maneggio . Escursione consigliatissima.

Nonostante la nostra visita all'abazia di fiastra si sia svolta nel mese di febbraio, e non solitamente nel periodo estivo per apprezzare anche tutto il paesaggio circostante come mi hanno consigliato, posso dire di aver visitato dei luoghi senza tempo. Un percorso organizzato per mostrare le zone più belle e significative dell'abazia. Sicuramente tornero a visitarla anche nel periodo estivo.

ricordo quando la strada tagliava in due il complesso, che ora ha riacquisito la sua tranquillità e unitarietà. si parcheggia vicino e ci si può dedicare alla visita del bel complesso abbaziale, del parco che merita una passeggiata a piedi o in bici, fare un po' di shopping, soprattutto gastronomico. non abbiamo provato il ristorante mamma rosa, che dal menù ci sembra un po' turistico, ma proprio di fronte c'è la simpatica centrale del gusto

Vi consiglio di passare una giornata nell'Abbazia di Fiastra,un incontro tra natura,spiritualità e storia,senza fare a meno di tutti i confort.Lascerete questo posto con la promessa di ritornarci,c'è tutto per tutti.

Posto spettacolare per un bella giornata tra la natura (passeggiate, jogging montain bike, cavallo) immersi nel verde del parco naturale e la storia dell'abbazia molto ben curata e bella da visitare. Ottimi anche i servizi.
