Lago di Fiastra was created in the mid-1950s and is the largest hydroelectric reservoir of the Marche. To construct the lake, it was necessary to flood the village of San Lorenzo and several other habitations. A new town, San Lorenzo al Lago was constructed to accommodate those who had been displaced. This is the place where most people arrive to visit the lake. There are several good restaurants in the town and the beach there (with its Sun shades) is where most people stay and where there are the expected pedalos. However, there is also an excellent footpath that extends the whole length of the lake to the dam. For those who are more energetic, there are manp spectacular walks, including one along the gorge after the dam and one of the day's walk in the Great Sibylline Ring. Fantastic place to swim, picknick, lay around. It's about 20 km from Sarnano, beautiful lake with no tourists at all.

The decision to come to the Sibellini Mountains and Le Marche for our two week family holiday has been fully justified and this fabulous lake is a great example of why that is. In the end, of the seven days based in Sarnano, we have spent four at Lake Fiastra. Beautiful, clear blue waters; a fabulous setting nestling among the wooded mountains; the chance to walk along the lake and find a quiet spot, under the shade of a tree, or lie in the sun, and occasionally enjoy a dip in the water... the crowded beaches of the Adriatic must have some attraction, but I can't imagine how they could compare with this natural, unspoilt oasis.

Il lago di Fiastra e' un piccolo gioiello marchigiano. Il turchese e l'azzurro del lago sono incredibili, racchiuso in un paesaggio montano verde e rigoglioso. L'acqua e' pulita, piena di pesci, l'ambiante e' tranquillo e rilassante.Il percorso natura che lo costeggia e' una bellissima passeggiata tra le anse del lago molto fotogeniche.

Si merita il massimo dei voti perché anche se il lago e' frutto del lavoro dell'uomo, si è creato tra questi monti bellissimi uno scenario meraviglioso che non ha nulla da invidiare ai laghi alpini. La sistemazione delle sponde con la creazione del percorso per pedoni adatto anche a chi ha disabilità ne fanno una meta ideale per una passeggiata tranquilla nella natura o per una giornata in spiaggia o per una gita in bicicletta. Ideale per famiglie con bambini.

Noi l abbiamo visto con la neve..siamo stati il primo gennaio!! Suggestivo e bellissimo!! La vista del lago è stata notevole già dalla strada!!

Bellissimo posto di relax.Passeggiate in compagnia mentre si mangia un buon panino con il ciauscolo piu buono del luogo.Lago dall'acqua a volte cristallina e quasi trasparente, soprattutto in estate che con il riflesso del sole ti riscalda il viso. Ottimo posto dove passare una giornata piena di vizi e relax da passare insieme alla propria famiglia o addirittura con gruppetti di amici.Molto imperfetto come struttura naturale, ma il bello è proprio quello e se non sarete troppo esigenti vi potrete appartare in un posticino per un bel picnic. Possibilitá di campeggio.

Siamo andati in questo lago in Agosto 2014. Colori molto belli, c'è il sentiero che costeggia il lago in cui si può fare la passeggiata. Posto molto tranquillo. Lo consiglio.

Bellissimo lago dal color turchese, ottimo per un picnic (e per i piu' coraggiosi anche per un bagno). La vista dal belvedere e' mozzafiato, se siete in zona non perdetevelo.
