I have been fortunate enough to direct several plays at this splendid theatre in Camerino. The experience has been on of the great enjoyments of my life. A traditional horseshoe theatre, the present building was originally completed in the 1850s replacing an earlier wooden theatre that had been built in 1728. The present auditorium has a beautifully painted ceiling with paintings by Francesco Ferranti of scenes from Filippo Marchetti's masterpiece "Ruy Blas". In the 1980s, there was undertaken considerable restoration, especially of the stage area. Its reopening was delayed because, beneath the stage, were found old Roman foundations. One of the interesting featuresis that the decorative designs around the auditorium were made not, as at first they appear, of stucco but of papier-mâché because it better carries the sound. I love this theatre and it is, of course, seen at its best when there is a performance. However, for much of the year, it is open on Saturdays and Sundays when a well-informed guide shows visitors around. It really is worth a visit.

O teatro é lindo... Fica no meio da cidade cidade, que apesar de pequena, tem programação intensa. Os fundos do teatro está em frente o Osteria do Noé... interessante ver como são montados os shows.

O local é lindo demais e com espetáculos que tornaram sua passagem na cidade inesquecíveis. A arquitetura externa nçao chama muito a atenção, mas o interior é cheio de detalhes.

Situato nel centro storico, risale alla metà dell'800 ed è sicuramente il più bel teatro delle Marche : molto ben curato e dall'atmosfera che fa venire in mente i fasti della Belle 'Epoche. La guida ci ha permesso di fare delle foto e ci ha fatto anche visitare i resti di una strada romana (del 3° secolo a. c.) scoperti durante l'ultimo restauro nel sottosuolo.

Si tratta di una struttura molto bella, nel pieno centro storico di Camerino a due passi dalla Piazza principale. Merita di essere visto anche per la presenza, nei suoi sotteranei, di antiche rovine romane venute alla luce recentemente e conservate in ottimo stato.

La guida (un volontario) ha illuminato il teatro solo per noi...mozzafiato! in perfetto stato di conservazione, estremamente curato...atmosfera suggestiva...e ...sotto al teatro...resti romani

E eu que pensava que esses lugares maravilhosos so existiam em filmes!! mas nao, em Camerino na Italia existe esse espetacular Teatro como os dos filmes, mas real, você se sente em um lugar magico, magnifico, tive a oportunidade de conhecer apenas, nao de assistir qualquer espetaculo, mas ja me senti maravilhada em estar num lugar assim.

I teatri marchigiani sono famosi per essere bellissimi e fastosi. Il teatro Marchetti non fa eccezione. Ho avuto la fortuna non solo di visitarlo brevemente, ma di frequentarlo assiduamente negli anni dell'Università assistendo a molti spettacoli.Le definizioni di "bomboniera", "fiore all'occhiello" e "gioiello" che sono state date in precedenza dagli utenti riassumono perfettamente l'impressione che il visitatore riceve non appena varca le porte del teatro.Aggiungerei che la programmazione è sempre eccellente, con ottime selezioni di spettacoli e di compagnie di altissimo livello e rinomate al livello nazionale.
