We decided to walk to the church after hearing of its reviews. We obtained the key from the Museum and walked the 10 or so minutes down the hill. The church is impressive if not small from outside and on entering, my first impression was that it was nothing special, but after sitting inside for a while you start to comprehend the history of this wonderful place. Worth a visit but only if you are already in Triora, don't drive there especially to see it.

Amazing small church, one of 8 in Triora. Well worth a country stroll to get to , to see.

Get the keys from the museum ... or try a guided tour (hotel organizes them) check out this medieval marvel, then walk , and love it... the country walk from there to the suspension bridge, below which is a roman bridge of antiquity... what a beautiful place, the most beautiful I have ever seen!

Medieval chapel with frescoes of heaven and hell! The keys available at the witchcraft museum!!!No kidding ... this place is Italy's "town of the witches"!BEAUTIFUL!!!Great hotel and B&Bs locally ... there is even a medieval palace recently renovated that lets out luxury 5-star lets! You'll have to search for the details as I cannot remember the address but it is in Triora and has something to do with Argentine Tango festivals. That should get you there.

Dalla piccola e graziosa chiesa romanica di San Bernardino, defilata e solitaria, si gode di una bella prospettiva sull'incasato di Triora, paese che merita un'accurata visita attraverso le viuzze e, a chi interessa, il museo delle (presunte) streghe, povere e innocenti sventurate che qui ebbero vita, e morte, assai grama.

Triora è un bellissimo borgo medioevale famoso per i processi alle streghe che portarono sul rogo alcune fanciulle e persino un ragazzo ma oltre a questo è piacevole visitarlo per la sua posizione e per il suo aspetto medioevale. Appena fuori del paese percorrendo un sentiero che in una decina di minuti porta a questa chiesa in posizione particolare nel verde all' interno della quale sono ancora visibili resti di affreschi

Oltre alle streghe qualcos'altro è degno di interessa a Triora. Alla chiesa di San Bernardino si accede con una mulattiera che inizia poco a sud dell'entrata del paese in 10 minuti di cammino. Chiesa del XV secolo, immersa nel verde, è decisamente suggestiva come colpo d'occhio col suo rustico porticato. Molto belli gli affreschi (o meglio, quello che ne resta!) attribuiti al pittore Giovanni Canavesio, anche se l'attribuzione non è certa. Questa attrazione si trova anche quasi all'inizio del circuito di una passeggiata ad anello di 4 KM, 2 ore su un facile sentiero/mulattiera (cartello indicatore con le caratteristiche del circuito a metà strada tra la statale e la chiesa)

Sono stato a Triora 2 volte in quanto adoro il genere però secondo me x tutte le leggende e storia a cui è attribuito e poco valorizzato. il paese e molto affascinante però a parte i souvenir di streghe e la famosa cabotina si trova ben poco,mentre sarebbe una buona idea mettere ingiro x il borgo delle raffigurazioni o finte streghe con descrizioni del passato ecc...basterebbe poco x essere più apprezzato.
