We had previous done a Walking Wiesbaden and a Walking Mainz tour with Susan and loved both of them. So we had Susan do a self-guided tour package to St Goar and Bacharach for us. She took care of everything. She purchased our train ticket which was also good for the ferry. She gave us a packet of information with maps, directions, train schedules, detailed photos etc. Everything we needed to have a successful day. She planned our day so we took the train up one side of the river and we crossed the river via the ferry and returned on the other side of the river thus ensuring we got to see the best of both sides of the river. I can't say enough about how organized the info was and how easy it was to follow. We were a little nervous about traveling alone but we had absolutely no problems thanks to Susan's information. It was by far the best day of our 14 day vacation which included Germany/Switzerland/Austria. If you are looking for an awesome experience I would definitely recommend you hire Susan!

We only had one day in Germany before our flight left for the U.S., and I found Great Day Tours while surfing. Susan put together a fantastic tour for us, giving us very detailed information not only for the Rheinfels castle tour and K-D boat ride, but hints about where to sit, where to grab lunch with a scenic view, and even suggested that we bring coins in addition to bills to purchase our train tickets, as she knew that the ticket machines ran out of change late in the day. Susan was spot-on with her recommendations and timing, and I would HIGHLY recommend her to any friends visiting the area. It was a great way to end our European vacation.

Susan organised everything so that we had a super day out on the Rhine, visiting Bacharach, St Goar and Rheinfels castle ruin. The landscape is gorgeous. We could not have put the day schedule together without her help and local know how. Lovely day, and the boat cruise is highly recommended.
