Two hours is the most you need to experience the fun of Dynamikum and what is actually suggested on the center's website. It is a rather small place. We were part of a school group and a few kids were complaining of boredom after two hours. The place could be so much more. For example, the staff could offer a bit more guidance at some of the exhibits to keep the students' interest. I also found the staff to be standoffish and somewhat rude, especially the staff member running the gift shop. Add as a side trip or for rainy day fun only.

My kids love this, I have a nearly 3 and a 6 year old and they are in awe with this place. So much to learn from it, never gets boring. We have the year pass and every time we go it feels new. I recommend.

We took the kids there already a bunch of times. they always have plenty of fun. Only minus is it is a little pricey and my opinion the kids should be around 6 years old to understand and be able to reach a lot of things.

My husband, two kids (6 &7) and myself visited Dynamikum on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We weren't really for sure what this would be, but went based on the reviews. The kids loved it! Everything is hands on activites. They weren't so interested in the learning aspect of why/how things worked, but my husband and I were. All the signs were in German, English and French. We spent a few hours here. The kids loved the slides and went down when we first got there and then again before we left. This is a great way to spend an afternoon when the weather is bad. They're open most days except for major holidays.

The so-called science center is destined for school classes and families with smaller children. There are guided tours, a small shop and lots of s-called attractions where you can do and learn something. From my experience a family would typically have to spend half a day in there. The second half of the day could be planned with the help of the tourist office which is just one floor below. Almost nothing really spectacular or different from other science centers mostly integrated in amusement parks or oceanariums or any other so-called science experience outfits. However, visiting Pirmasens and the nice Palatine forest the Dynamikum is a must and well worth the time.

Great place to take your kids, fun and educational. Has a very small restaurant inside, but there is also a nice Asian buffet downstairs. Excellent day trip for kids.

Everyone in our family found something fun to explore in this museum. It's the perfect rainy-day destination for curious kids.

We really enjoyed this museum. Our visit was actually in January 2011. It was a short drive and we used the parking garage right out front. Our 6 year old loved all the hands on exhibits and enjoyed the slide down to the first floor. My husband liked the bicycle hovercraft and I enjoyed the huge slinky. There are regular and oversized lockers for you to store your coats and backpacks. Also there is a small cafe with your regular snacks and drinks. This is a great indoor place to go when the weather outside is not so good.
