After visiting one of the more 'famous' castles off the Mosel Valley, my family and I were on our way back home when we noticed a large castle on top of a hill. Our route carried us right by the road to this castle, so we took a chance as we had never heard of this particular castle, and took the road 'less traveled'. What a pleasant surprise we were in for. To begin with, the entry fee was about 1/2 of what the other castle was, I think it was 12 Euros, and then we found out instead of a 'tour', we were given a guide pamphlet in English, and allowed to roam on our own. this castel, the view, the furnishings are one of the most wonderful experiences my family has had yet on our short stay that we have been in Germany. It was our 6th castle in 2 months, which included places like Neuschwanstein Castle, Heildelburg, Sooneck, and Burg Eltz..This is a must see if you are into castles. Oh BTW, check out the apartment that they rent in the castle. I dont know too much about it, but will be finding out more next time I go.

Wir sind nicht durch die Weinberge, sondern den Wanderweg rechts herum hoch gelaufen. Und das war auch gut so, weil dieser weniger steil und gar nicht steinig war. Die Burganlage ist sehr schön und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Die Ausblicke auf Alken sind wunderbar. Innerhalb der Burg gibt es an jeder Ecke etwas anderes zu entdecken. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Ausflugsziel.

Op het einde van een mooie wandeling kwamen we bij dit kasteel aan. Mooi en goed bewaard. Alles te bezichtigen mits ticket van 6 euro maar is het wel waard.

Проезжали мимо, совершенно не планировали заезд в этот замок, но внешне нам понравился и мы заглянули в него и не пожалели. Вход не очень дорогой, гуляли сами по замку, можно рассмотреть не торопясь и рассмотреть все внимательно, людей не много, что позволяет насладиться пребыванием в замке, ребенку очень понравилось. Обязательно загляните, не пожалеете.

Y venir en voiture, parking aisé. Très bel ensemble avec vue superbe sur la vallée de la Moselle et les vignobles ! Faites la petite promenade en contrebas du château (10') ... Entrée payante pour visite du château ...
