If you like chocolate and want to see the history of Ritter Sport, this is a place to see. It is a simple walking tour, check store times, open every other Sunday. If you have kids, they will enjoy the free chocolate vending machine. A truck picks up a sample chocolate piece from the factory, drives around the track, and drops it off for the kids to pick up. Best place to get chocolate you don't get in the US. There is also a nice shop to get a good cup of hot chocolate. Enjoy!

I love this place! The museum is awesome. It explains the story of chocolate, how it is made and there is a video that shows how Ritter Sport produces it! There is a big shop with more than 40 different chocolates to buy, they always have new recipes and it is great value chocolate!

As corporate museums go, this one is pretty good. A complete explanation of the entire production process and history of the brand is available. The exhibition is free of charge. On the ground floor you can buy the entire product range at reasonable prices. A bit far from town but if you like Ritter Sport it's worth the drive.

We thought that the building on the left (as you approach the entrances) was the Chocolate museum, but we were surprised when we found out that on the left was an "Art" museum and on the right, was the Chocolate Store and the little Museum. One can simply read the Company's history, walk through every single "milestone" and important Ritter Sport "version" that has ever been producted, hear and watch old and "new" advertisements of the products, read about and smell or taste the ingredients (!!!) that are included on these chocolates, watch a video about how is the chocolate producted and last but not least, take with that lovely "game" which delivers you a mini chocolate pack :) After exploring the Museum, there is a store with a great variety of flavours which you can buy in rediculously low prices! Worth the visit.

If you are around do it! It's not "woow", but you can see how it works the proccess to make chocolate. And also there is a shop, where you can buy a lot of a lot of kinds of Ritter Sport chocolates for the best price ever. The scenario of the city is great, specially in autumn.Lecker, lecker. Quadratisch, praktisch, gut!

A must if your in the area. A brief history of how they make the chocolate in English as well as German. Short film in English and then the main part the chocolate shop. Every type of chocolate you can imagine and more. Keep walking to the back if the shop and then you will find the bargains. Test chocolate of new flavours we had huge quantities of honey and salt and various others. Also mixed boxes. We have gone a little and and now conscious of the weight limit of the luggage. But will just make the hand luggage look light. I think we bought about 5 kilos and have no time to eat it before we fly. Oh dear. :-)

We visited this "museum" which is really a history of Ritter Sport chocolate and where and how they get their ingredients. The best part of the exhibit is the store in which you can buy any and all varieties of Ritter Sport chocolate. In addition in the back of the store there is a bargain area where they have different products bundled together for a discount price and also some trial flavors of chocolate. Worth visiting if you're in the area!

This sight is a bit off the beaten path, but we're so glad we included it in our itinerary. It was fascinating to learn about cocoa farming, how chocolate is made, and the history of the Ritter Sport company. The small museum is low-key and lacks high-tech displays, so it may not appeal to children, but we found it so interesting we read every display. We approached the reception desk upon arrival, and the staff recommended we start our visit with the video presentation, which they played in English for us. It's a good way to start your visit. The displays cover a variety of topics, including where the company's candy bar ingredients come from, why the candy bar has a square shape and the company's advertising campaigns. There is a kid-friendly display of a miniature factory that dispenses a small candy bar, so you don't leave empty-handed.After we left the museum, we ate in the adjacent cafe. We had incredibly delicious sandwiches, and our only regret is that we didn't have room to try a chocolate dessert.Unfortunately, the adjacent art space was between exhibits and closed, so we missed that. But we did shop at the on-site Ritter Sport store, which has an amazing variety of chocolate products. There is an area in the back with heavily discounted prices -- just keep your luggage weight limit in mind when you shop!

Fascinating. Very clean. Very well designed. Modern structure. Close to short pleasant walks. Excellent café. Wonderful vista during and summer but amazing in winter.
