This museum is small but amazing! I think it's only open on Sundays...but basically when they attemped to euilxcavate the ground in this area in the 1970's to build a new building, they discovered the remains of an ancient Roman city on site! The Pforzheim region is full of Roman settlements and history, although it can be hard to find information on sites to visit. This museum has information available if interested.This museum allows one to walk through the remnants of the old city, a couple of meters below our current ground-level, and is fairly unknown, even among locals! I actually have a travel blog and wrote a post on this particular museum, along with other historic sites in the general Pforzheim area. Auch für interessierte Radfahrer, welche auf dem Enztalradweg in Richtung Vaihingen/Enz unterwegs sind, möchte ich diesen Zwischenstopp empfehlen. Klein aber fein und vor allem total an dieser Stelle unerwartet, tut sich unter der Erde eine andere Welt auf. Ausgrabungen und Funde aus verschiedenen Epochen können hier besichtigt werden. Archäologie-und Geschichtsliebhaber kommen hier auf Ihre Kosten. Ein Besuch, der sich lohnt und das total für "Umme".
