It was a very small museum, but it took you through the produced trains of Märklin from the begining to the end,but I had expected more. Don't go to Göppingen only for this I would say. Only spent 20 minutes there. Great for children and model train fanatics.

I'm a long standing Märklin fan (as used to be my dad, who got his first Märklin steam engine in the 1930's) and a Märklin Insider member and I looked forward to my first visit of the Märklin Museum / Experience. But as my wife said literally: Where have the pride and the love for these wonderful products gone. Yes, there are some beautiful pieces on display, but there is also a lot of dust and the Experience elements are not functioning, at least not when we were there! Dear Märklin staff, please take pride in your wonderful products and history and honor the millions of dedicated customers by bringing pride and joy in what you share and show!

Like most everyone, my fascination with model trains began with my father when he collected Marklin trains. I have always wanted to visit this museum since but never had the chance. Not a large museum, but it contains the history of Marklin from doll houses to mechanical construction sets to the current trains they are famous for. There are a couple of large H0 scale layouts and a couple of smaller Z scale layouts to admire. And for the kids, there is layout for kids to play with and a mock-up of a locomotive engineer's cab to play in. In addition, there is the museum store (stick to a budget...I didn't) to a service center/spare parts store. All in all, a kid's dream come true.PS: If taking public transportation to the museum, take the #1 bus from the train station. One way fare is €1.50 and check the schedule carefully since there's less of them on the weekend.

I went to the Modelbahn and was fantastic, even the museum is a bit small it has lots to see. What I liked more was the whole event, some events at the train station and other in different locations in the town!! You will love it!

The building has a nice set of trains setup and some smaller setups for lids to interact with. There is also the engineer/driver section of an old train. It is all indoors and ia good for bad weather days.

ゲッピンゲン駅前から６番のバスでUlmer Streatで下車してすぐです。メルクリンの本社で、そこの付属の博物館です。展示内容も、もちろん素晴らしかったですが、ショップでは多くの鉄道模型を購入することができます。巨大なジオラマ模型も展示されています。

Als Modelleisenbahnfan ist in Göppingen ein Besuch im Märklin-Museum sicher ein Muss. Aaaaber - da sollte man sich nicht zu viel erhoffen- ich persönlich war ziemlich enttäuscht. Sicher, die Vitrinen mit alten Loks und Waggons aus vielen Jahrzehnten sind interessant. Doch in einem Museum zur Firmengeschichte, noch dazu einem solchen, da sollte man Filme sehen, da sollte man Produkte in der Entstehung sehen, da sollte man Geschichte spüren können. Stattdessen: (Gefühlt) mehr als die Größe des Ausstellungsraums nehmen die Verkaufsräume ein, wo man - keinesfalls deutlich billiger als im Fachgeschäft - Eisenbahnzubehör jeglicher Art bekommt. Zwei Anlagen dazu - und das war`s. Halt - noch eine Kinderspielecke gibt es, für die Kleinen, während Papa Züge gucken geht. Naja....

Considérez que c'est un très beau magasin plutôt que véritablement un musée. Peu de dioramas frappants passé le premier occupant le centre de la boutique. Cela ne vaut pas franchement le détour sauf à être à Stuttgart comme je l’étais.

メルクリンの歴史の展示もさることながら、ここのショップでのメルクリンの商品種類はかなりのものでした。　機関車の価格は日本の安い通販より少し安いかなといった程度でしたのが、つい買ってしまいました。　ただアウトレットはドイツのもの以外の高価な機関車などで、とてもおとくなものがありました。　　ゲッピンゲンの駅からはタクシーで８ユーロくらいでした、バスは１時間に一本でした。

ゲッピンゲン駅からは離れています。日本はNゲージが盛んですが、本場ドイツはHOゲージ。メルクリンの歴史の展示やレイアウトも充実。鉄道模型ファンなら絶対飽きないでしょう。勿論、メルクリンの模型売り場だけでなくシッカリとしたメルクリングッズも取り扱っていて、お土産にも充分応えてくれます。近くにバス停はありますが頻繁には来ないのでタクシーを呼んだ方が良いでしょう。
