Its a small museun with diferent unimog trucks that show how different this can be. You can pay for a ride in one to see the capabilities for climbing. There is a small cafeteria for eating something. Its close to baden baden, is worth the visit.

This was a great first stop on the Route 500 Schwarzwald Hochstrasse. OK it was a slight detour and a good way to avoid Baden Baden traffic. The museum is small and modern. If you're a car/truck enthusiast, you'll find it interesting. I'm not, but it was still cool to skim through and see all the different vehicles and applications of their technology. But the MUST DO is to buy the ticket for the ride-along tour. Our driver was a jolly 60+ year old who described every function. It was all in German but it was fun to see his delight. The ride is about 10-12 minutes in total but it's just amazing what the vehicle can do. I was surprised there wasn't a dealership right afterwards ; )

Being able to drive one of these ultra cool vehicles to its limits in a controlled environment is one of the most fun ways to spend a day. Very helpful staff and co-driver. Although the machine is not the most simple vehicle to operate, The training makes the experience easy and a blast. Very impressive to see what these things can do. Splurge for the extended drive... Well worth it.

This was a spur-of-the-moment addition to our itinerary. We had heard about the Unimog museum on one of our car factory tours (Mercedes, Porsche, or AMG) and saw that we'd be traveling to the nearby-town of Baden-Baden (about 20 min to Gaggenau), so we added this stop. FUN! I'm not into trucks, but these old Unimogs have so much personality. And I LOVED riding a Unimog--you need to pay extra for this, but it is definitely worth it--makes you feel like a 5-year-old kid!

We visited here because of a promise to my 16 year old grandson and it was really great. The number of vehicles starting with the historical pre-Mercedes Benz vehicles, the versatility displayed by all the implements and attachments and the information given with each display was very well done. The ride along in a modern vehicle over a well designed obstacle/off-road course, experiencing just a fraction of the vehicles capabilities was worth the visit alone. You can experience this museum in about 60 to 120 minutes, so it will not bore those with you that are not as enthused about off-roading as you may be.

Très beau musée avec beaucoup d'informations sur l'évolution de l'industrie de la vallée de Gaggenau. L'accent est également mis sur les matériaux et techniques de productions du métal et des véhicules Unimog. Pour cinq euros de plus, il est possible de participer à un essai qui démontre les capacités de franchissement des véhicules (en siège passager) sur le parcours extérieur, impressionnant ! Vous pouvez également manger au restaurant du musée qui est de bonne qualité. Un petit magasin de souvenirs et véhicules miniatures se trouve également à l'entrée du musée.

auf dem Weg durch das Murgtal bis nach Freudenstadt sollte unbedingt Halt im beschaulichen Gaggenau gemacht werden. Das universale Motorengerät ( Unimog ) war eine geniale Idee. Fahren sie doch einfach mal im Aussenbereich mit.............................

Museo piccolino ma davvero carino, la signora al front desk molto gentile, dotata di un fluente inglese che al momento dell'ingresso ci ha lasciato anche una piccola guida per meglio capire i modelli dell'Unimog, essendo le targhette esplicative solamente in tedesco. Assolutamente divertente il giro nel parkour con il modello U4000, lo rifarei altre decine e decine di volte!Ne è valsa assolutamente la pena, personale gentilissimo e lo consiglierei a chiunque!

Wij waren op dinsdag 11/11/2014 in het Unimog museum in Gaggenau dat ik toevallig op het spoor kwam!Het is geen groot museum, doch alles wat er staat is prachtig! De gerestaureerde wagens staan er glimmend bij, maar fantastisch is een open chassis waarmee ze tonen welke terreinen een Unimog aankan! Een motor in polyester, totaal doorzichtig! Een schakelbak opengewerkt, een aandrijfsysteem ook opengewerkt waarbij men met ontzag naar het technisch kunnen van de Duitse techniekers (ontwerpers) in 1948 kijkt! Ongelooflijk wat de ontwerpers van de Unimog realiseerden! Zes prototypen (de eerste rond 1945 gebouwd!) en de wagen was leverbaar in 1948! Een mini-vrachtwagen met maximale prestaties! Met extra uitrustingen presteerde hij wat een tractor kon! Gezien zijn mogelijkheden en prestaties was het dadelijk een succes! De Ontwerper: Universal Motoren Gerate (Boehringer Unimog) leverde een nooit gezien ontwerp af, later verworven door Mercedes die zijn gamma met een machtige kleine vrachtwagen kon uitbreiden! Mensen, bezoek dit museum! U zal verbaasd staan over wat je ziet als je enige technische bagage hebt! Ook een filmpje toont de prestaties van de Unimog! Tevens kan je tegen betaling meerijden in een Unimog met dubbele cabine over een speciaal aangelegd parcours! Dit schitterend museum is een echte aanrader! Ik wil dit museum nogmaals bezoeken!!! In één woord : dit museum moet je als auto- ( of technische liefhebber) gezien hebben! Met het gezin kan je dit ook gerust bezoeken! Kinderen zullen zeker geboeid zijn oa door het bekijken van het filmple en de mooie wagens en hun uitrusting en uitvoeringen!

Wer in der Gegend um Stuttgart Urlaub macht, sollte sich unbedingt das UNIMOG Museum ansehen. Es zeigt eine große Anzahl an Fahrzeugen aus verschiedenen Epochen und stellt die Geschichte der Fahrzeuge dar.
