We spent an afternoon here the day after arrivial. It was a nice & relaxing experience after a long flight from the U.S. The Monte Mare is a surprising luxury oasis in an otherwise smaller and quaint German town (also my fiance's home town) Of course I'm definitely planning to return.

A little too expensive when you pay for a full day in comparison with other 'Saunalandschaften' in Germany.But for a relaxing day it is o.k.During weekdays is it from 9-14 h Euro 13,50 and that is a bargain (a whole day 25,-) In weekends and celebration days you have to pay 2 euro extra.The maintenance is not optimal. We saw a lot a small things to repair (mozaic stones lacking, steambath not hot/steamy enough, chewing gum around hook in cabin for changing into bathgear. But in principle it was very clean.And it was also very uncommon to pay extra for some saunaevents, like fluid clay.It is rather formal because in the 'restaurant/bar' of the sauna you MUST cover your shoulders (man and woman) a big towel around your naked body is not enough. You can hire bathrobes (too expensive).BUT IT WAS NICE AND RELAXING and the personel was friendly and helpfull.The restaurant served a Zander ( tastfull not fishy fish) saltimbuca. There was to much sage in it. But pulling that out, gave a delicious saltimbuca. The red pasta was tastfull and buttery. There was a nice greencabbage cream. The other had the grillplate. Unfortunately was the pig too dry, the beef too sinewy and the chicken was ok. The baked potatoes were very good. It was value for the money.

You wouldn't expect this place in small town. We were pleasantly surprised to find this place. After a good swim and a lesson of suba diving, you can enjoy the very nice sauna landscape. The price is a bit higher than expected, but we were satisified and will be there again.

Interesting experience. A swimming, sauna and wellness centre with an indoor scuba diving pool. I only used the diving centre so I can't comment on the other facilities. In general, the facilities are clearly a few years old and in need of some updating in places. Changing areas are fairly basic. The dive pool is 10 meters deep and approximately 2 million litres of water. They have tried to make it interesting with different environments at various levels in the pool. Inevitably, it's a small area and so good for practicing your dive skills in a safe, controlled enviroemt. However, there is not much to keep you entertained after 10 or 20 minutes. It was popular and busy on a Saturday afternoon with everything from dive classes to technical divers. Sometimes it was difficult to find a free space in the pool. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's decent value for money with unlimited air and weights included in the price. All in all a bit of fun and somewhere to go and practice your dive skills if youre not a hard core diver and you don't fancy the North sea or a lake somewhere in the winter.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir endlich wieder im Monte Mare. Sauna und die Aufgüsse sind wie immer perfekt und das Personal sehr freundlich.Das Restaurant? Naja. Wir hatten einen Tapas-Teller für 2 Personen. Wir mussten uns 3 Gambas und 3 Kartoffelspalten teilen. Für alles zusammen waren 19,90 € einfach viel zu teuer. Ich habe in einer e-mail darauf hingewiesen. Sehr schade, das man nichtmal einen kurze Antwort bekommt.Essen werd ich dort wohl eher nicht mehr. Ansonsten kommen wir gern wieder.

Sicher einer der schönsten Saunas im Rheinland und darüber hinaus. Angenehme Ruheräume, orientalisches Ambiente und verschiedene Themensaunen.

Es war ein super Aufenthalt in einer tollen Atmosphäre, Massagen sind auch empfehlendswert, Essen war einfach klasse

Wir haben im Montemare einen Tauchkurs gemacht (wobei wir unseren Tauchleherer mitgebracht haben) und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das ganze Anmeldeprozedere ging sehr schnell. Das Becken ist nett gestaltet und auch der Saunabereich ist sehr schön. Hier kann man auch etwas essen - das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist noch in Ordnung wobei es kaum günstige Snacks (vielleicht ein paar Pommes) unter 5 Euro gibt.

Wij, ik en mijn zoon (16) gingen naar dit centrum voor het duikbasin. Vergeleken met andere indoor duiktorens is dit zeker leuk. Er zijn door de inrichting veel meer dingen te zien en te doen als in een kale bak. Flessen krijg je gevuld van de organisatie. De rest van de uitrusting hadden wij bij ons. Wel even sjouwen de trappen op.Na duiken nog even in de sauna geweest, was wel druk maar complex is zeer uitgestrekt. Het betaalsysteem met de chip is erg practisch

Heel leuke zwembad, zeker niet te druk, wij waren er op een zondag ochtend. Twee glijbanen, nooit moeten aanschuiven. Vriendelijk en proper. Liefde voor details in afwerking. Betalen moet je voor drie uur en dan extra of voor hele dag. Prijzen zijn wel aan de hogere kant.
