Appearently closed in winterseason (last guidetour the first sathurday of November). Already in 1824, the sweeps of the "old mill of Kleve (Cleves)" turned in the wind. 1957, in 1982 restored, in 1985 resumed as a 'living museum'. In the mill museum all about and around the mill, grain varieties and the derived ground flour. Info-panels illustrate the history of the mill and partially movable models show windmills from the prehistory to the up-to-date mill-technology. Whilst participating on a guidetour one can visit the mill up to the hood and thus gain insight into technology and labor in the mill. Saturdays (10-2 pm) visitors can also experience the process of the flour produced in the mill is processed to aromatic breads (rye-wheat-whole wheat bread), white bread and raisin bread baked in wood-fired brick ovens.
