My wife and I visited the museum initially to keep in the warm. But to our surprise it was a lovely museum. The staff (didn't speak much English) were doing their best to understand my poor german. It has a playmobil room dedicated to different scenes from around the world and fantasy world. It also had a kids play area. Upstairs was a lot of toys and games of yesteryear and historical items that are local to the area as well as rooms of shop and store of old times past. There is a lot to see and it helps to be able to read german(information boards and plaques). We enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend this museum to all age groups. The kids will enjoy the toys and games section as well as the playmobil area. The older children will be able to experience all the museum. Helpful info:It costs €3.00 per person. It has a small coffee machine and a lovely sit down at area with classic table furniture. There are lockers to put your bags or rucksack. They sell books and pamphlets with related historical significance. Overall a lovely museum with great staff and wonderful collection of history.

We had a trip to Kevelaer and were drawn to this museum for its Otzi exhibition signs. It was a lovely museum. They had a little coffee machine to allow you to buy drinks and sit in the cafe. The cafe seemed also like a bar, so I don't know whether it is used for something else in the evenings. The museum was quite large. As well as the exhibition space, they also had about 3 floors with everything from art to toys to professions and archeaology as well as a street where you went back in time through different premises - a school, baker, hair dresser and the likes. I thought it was very well done and I'm sure kids would love the place. It was only €3 to get in for adults, so it wasn't expensive for the amount on offer. The Otzi exhibition was also very interesting.

Uitgebreid museum met voorwerpen die je terug doen denken aan vroeger. Mooie gebouwen met authentieke woonhuizen aan vastgekoppeld., zoals een tandarts praktijk, winkel etc.Dubbel en dwars de moeite waard
