It's a very nice beach but it was very, very windy so we couldn't swimm and be at the beach. There is a nice view from the road over the beach.

Petani is as good as it looks, but like many of Kefalonia's beaches it is more spectacular from above! There is, however, a very good taverna once you've negotiated the narrow hairpins with fresh fish, a varied menu and clean toilets. We didn't swim there but it looked good for families, and it was very busy the September weekend we visited. Petani itself is quite out of the way, and while there is a hotel, there's nothing else apart from the beach.

Enjoyed our visit to Petani Beach with lunch in Antonello's just back up the road. Also had a drink in a very 'chilled' bar with great music above the beach. Lovely setting and very relaxing.

Lovely turquoise water, nice and quiet and amazing sunsets. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Kefalonia. A choice of 2 restaurants and a lovely chilled out bar at the end of the beach which is a great place to get some really nice photos of the sunset. The only real downside is it can be quite uncomfortable to walk on the pebble beach especially when it is really hot. I would advise taking beach sandles.

This is definitely worth a visit if you are travelling around the beaches in Kefalonia, although the drive down is not for nervous drivers (lots of bends and dodgy road surfaces - the bends are par for the course in Kefalonia but the road surface needs looking at). We were there in the third week of September - the weather was good, although the wind can whip the waves up here (there are more sheltered beaches on Kefalonia). There are lots of beach beds for hire (we pad 6 euros for the two of us for the day) - you'll need to take your own towel. The beach is made of mainly of small white stones and is actually very beautiful but you will need shoes to swim in and walk about in because they get hot in the sun and are not comfortable to walk on. There are two great tavernas serving fish straight from the sea and all round good Greek food. We preferred Erasmina's, which was right on the beach but they both served good food and had clean toilets.

Good swimming with two good tavernas serving all types of food and drink. It's essential to have transport to get to this beach as the road very steep

In my opinion this is the most beatifull beach on the island that is accessible by car.Unfortunately it is not as clean undersea as in other places.

A well serviced beach with 2 restaurants and ample loungers and sunshades the sea has an aggressive undercurrent which should be borne in mind with children.
