Michalis plays the best music in Symi! If you like soul, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison sit in the Vapori sipping a great Piña Colada and wallow in the wonderful sounds. Quiet early evening but gets busier as the night wears on. Not to be missed.

What can you say about Mary and her bar that has not already been written? Depends who has written it. I liked the bar as it was a relaxing place to sit for a few drinks after your meal and an evening stroll. Friendly service, great music and a good choice of drinks and beers. If you like a beer that's different to the usual Greek lot try the Erdinger weiss beer. A tad over priced but very very nice. Reasonable range of gins for a G&T too. Mojito the lovely dog is always, acting like co-owner. Mary is a mine of information and recommendations. The music is good classic 80s stuff probably similar to that which was played when she first opened the bar 26 years ago and fills in while the DJ is making his way from Australia.

If you are visiting Symi, we highly recommend Vapori's Bar. Situated in the heart of the harbour it is a great place for a cool beer in the afternoon or for cocktails in the evening. Happy Hour was a must for our holiday and they even have non alcoholic fruit punch for the kids. Great music, wonderful service and a very warm welcome awaits. Whilst there pop over to Mary's to browse her lovely jewellery - great place to find that special piece to remind you of this gorgeous island. Cannot wait until we return. We were in a boat trip to Symi from Marmaris and we spend two nights in Vapori Bar. We watched world cup final. Germany won. We enjoyed the time in there. Thanks to Marry and Mihiliswho are the owner and he served free tecila shots to us. They are so friendly.And I can not forget beautiful and cheerful Chezch girl Veronika who smiles with eyes. The atmosphere was just the best service was very good and the owners could not be more helpful a very good place to start an excellent evening and to finish an evening .Wonderful for people watching , just the sort of place to relax or even dance till dawn, and if you are on your own you can make friends with the dog, who will take you out for dinner..A very good find, the bar , the people and the dog..

Very nosy owner, in your face ALL of the time. Wouldn't leave us alone, constant questions and invited herself to sit with us, talked through the football too so we couldn't watch the game. Never again!

On your own or in a group, The Vapori Bar is the place to be in Symi. Mary and Mihilis and Mohito ( the dog)will make you feel so welcome. Great cocktails, drinks and music...truly international! Watch out for Mihilis' free shots later in the evening and then dancing in the street! A great night out...take paracetamol for the next morning!!!

This bar is well placed to sit and watch the world go slowly by. On visiting the bar we have always received a warm welcome from the owners Michealis and Mary. They provide an excellent range of music and make many delicious cocktails. The bar attracts a good crowd of people from various parts of the world who often finish the night by dancing together in the street.

. . . as we have done many times! It is at the centre of all the action in Gialos, easy to find after enjoying the food in one of the many tavernas, has great music and the welcome from Michaelis and Mary is one of the best you will experience. This year they celebrate 25 years of owning the bar so they know exactly how to create the easy atmosphere that characterises evenings spent there. Congratulations to them! We have spent many happy hours people-watching and meeting new friends from around the world here. Also the bar is open until the last person leaves. Miss it at your peril!
