The bus was 12euro each and we visited all the sights of the island including the Museum of marble crafts, well worth a visit

Not only very interesting for the marble crafts, also regular expositions of art (conceptual, photography,...) in this museum.

This museum was very nice and very educational. Especially the videos that showed how the marble was mined before the days of heavy equipment. I question how they can afford to keep it open, though. Hardly anyone was there!

Well organized and interesting museum. Visitor can see marbles as well as photos and videos of the procedure followed to create a marble statue.

Have a look at it if you are interested in marble technicians history and see how the eu and the greek state build with their money a museum and then they grand it to a private bank to run it with free advertisement. interesting way of anticipating the role of state regarding the culture.

Very interesting if you like marble-craft and the techniques around it.I would have preferred some more historical info (when did this start in ancient times, who were the famous artists, etc). NB: Don't go with a 5-year old kid!!

On our around-the-island KTEL bus tour of Tinos, we stopped in Pirgos to visit this museum. We easily could have spent an hour or two there, but we were limited to about 15 minutes due to the tour schedule. Very interesting.

We were travelling in August and the attraction of a air conditioned museum appealed! It is not big, but it gives a good overview of how a quarry worked and some of the products of Tinos marble carving. Interesting, clean and cool - and a nice exhibition in a separate hall. Not a must- see, but if you are passing, definitely worth seeing.

Certainly one of the most captivating museums for my children aged 4 to 10. Educational for us, too. Catchy audiovisual exhibits, easy to follow stories, friendly to the tired but excited visitor. Highly recommended!

Amazing information on the craft. Videos and displays were very good. Almost felt like you were working in the marble quarry yourself
