I've been to this museum a few times because its up the road from my husband's family's village. The museum itself is small, modern and well done but it's quite dull and has hardly anything in it! Not sure why it was built in the first place. Visit if you're nearby and need to kill some time but otherwise don't waste your time.

This is a relatively recent addition to the area and it's well worth a visit. Interesting for both adults and children. Admission prices are reasonable and there are lower rates for children and group visits. I particularly liked the open aquarium showing a cross-section of the lake and a variety of live fish and plants of the region. The museum offers a good mix of display material and hands on experience and it makes for a very nice visit!

The environment museum of Stymfalia is built in a most attractive location between the mountains of Corinthia, overlooking the lake of Stymfalia, a Natura preserved lake where migrating birds stop on their flight north or south. The museum is very interesting as it covers all the periods of existence of the Stymfalia environment, from its creation millions of years ago to today. By walking through the museum one gets an idea of the geological changes of the area and the various activities that are attached to the place, such as fishing, agricultural activities, animal breeding, etc. This museum with its interactive facilities, is mostly dedicated to children who can understand how the land evolved through the ages, and how people have been able to make their lives around this land, and at the same time respecting the environment.

This is a very small but very well organized and interesting museum with beautiful lake view. Kids loved it. The building's modern architecture is in harmony with the natural environment.

Μία ακόμα εξαιρετική δουλειά του Ομίλου Πειραιώς που τα τελευταία χρόνια μας εκπλήσσει ευχάριστα. Μετά από αρκετές βόλτες στη περιοχή εξ αιτίας της έλλειψης σήμανσης και οδηγιών, βρεθήκαμε μπροστά στο μοντέρνο κτίριο, εναρμονισμένο με το τοπίο. Το Μουσείο περιλαμβάνει 2 ενότητες, η μία αφορά το περιβάλλον και η δεύτερη της επίδρασής του στις ανθρώπινες δραστηριότητες. Μακέτες, ψηφιακές αναπαραστάσεις, ταινίες αλλά το πιο εντυπωσιακό είναι το ανοικτό ενυδρείο που αναπαριστά σε τομή τη λίμνη, με ζωντανά ψάρια και φυτά. Εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέροντα προγράμματα και για τα παιδιά.

Οι χώροι του μουσείου είναι μοντέρνοι και η επίσκεψη εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα για λάτρεις και μη της φυσικής ιστορίας. Δυστυχώς η σήμανση για έναν τέτοιο χώρο αλλά και μια τέτοια περιοχή είναι ελλιπέστατη μια και δεν υπάρχουν ευκρινείς πινακίδες για την τοποθεσία του μουσείου και της λίμνης.

Perto dos demais museus da Grécia, este é pequeno, possuindo um acervo bem restrito e com poucos materiais. A entrada é cobrada.

Ένα μουσείο το οποίο πρέπει όλοι να επισκεφτούν. Γεωλογικές, περιβαλλοντολογικές, βιολογικές, ιστορικές, λαογραφικές και άλλες πληροφορίες που αφορούν την ευρύτερη περιοχή. Μοντέρνα Αρχιτεκτονική και πολύ ωραία παρουσίαση όλων των ενοτήτων που εκτίθενται. Και πολύ ωραία και κατατοπιστική η ξενάγηση. Η θέα από το Μουσείο προς την λίμνη της Στυμφαλίας εκπληκτική!!! Πρέπει όλοι να το επισκεφτούν

Έχοντας επισκεφθεί και άλλα μουσεία της Τραπεζας Πειραιώς (στην Τήνο και στη Μυτιλήνη) ξέραμε ότι το μουσείο θα μας αρέσει. Και πράγματι ήταν πολύ ενδιαφέρον, με στοιχεία για τα φυτά, τα ζώα, τη γεωγραφία και τη λαογραφία της περιοχής, με μακέτες, ήχο και εικόνα, με ωραία θέα στη λίμνη, τηλεσκόπια για παρατήρηση της πανίδας και σε μια περιοχή με πεζοπορικές διαδρομές (για τις οποίες δεν έχουμε γνώμη, γιατί δεν προλάβαμε να τις επισκεφτούμε. Την επόμενη φορά). Ιδανική ημερήσια εκδρομή.
