The park is very beautiful, immersed in the nature. The animals have huge spaces, although some of them are very difficult to be seen (especially the Puma). Probably the best attraction are the monkeys and the buffalos. It's worth to pay the (quite expensive) ticket for a visit and I suggest to schedule a whole day. There are several restaurants, coffe shops and bathrooms, especially in the area closer to the Castle. So far so good. Anyway I was quite disappointed for some reasons that I am going to tell you now. First of all, this zoo is indicated already at the highway Exit, but inexplicably, the last two bifurcations are not indicated! So we just drove straight until realizing that we were already outside of the espected area...would it be so difficult to put two more indications after 15 already well placed ones ??? This of course made us nervous even before entry the park....Second point: indications inside the park are a bit confusing in some bifurcations, especially in the area of the Restaurants where you still have to cross the "Asia" area but the indications only say "Africa -->". When we arrived there, we thought that we were going the bad direction and turned back, until realizing that we just climbed a lot of stairs again and for nothing because the direction "Africa" was the right one to go to the "Asia" area !!!!!!!!!!The third point are the stairs: in the area of the restaurants there are huge stairs with something like 100 steps, with very unconfortable tracks for strollers (and remember that we did them three times, see previous issues :-((( . For the benefit of people with kids, there should be lift or treadmills similar to those of the supermarkets. Another negative point is the absence of rest areas for self-consumed meals. There is plenty of expensive restaurant but no one table to sit and eat your sandwiches. We did it on a bench, and being 3 adults one teenager and one child it was not easy...The last Point are the Prices: one coffe Espresso 3,20 euros is really EXAGGERATED !!!!So, honestly I have to say that if you are a couple or a group of friends with at least one person who already was there, then it is really extraordinary beautiful....but a zoo is made for children, isn't it? And in this case, if you go there for the first time with your family, let's be prepared to several troubles.

The main attraction was the Lion King !!! It is a very well maintained zoo. Loved this place. Would like to visit again. :) They have provided the perfect habitat for all the animals. It is a nice and quiet place. The castle is also pretty!

I love animals and I think that animals should live in their habitat. The Tierpark Herberstein is a excellent zoo since animals have lot of room to move around. The zoo is very large and you surely spend a day in contact with nature. Perfect for family and children since it has picnic areas and other facilities.

Gleich vorweg, Herberstein ist nicht Schönbrunn oder Mautern, hier kann man einen stressfreien Tag als Familie verbringen ohne befürchten zu müssen dass einem die Kinder abhandenkommen. Keine langen Schlangen vor den Kassen ausreichend gratis Parkplätze! Überschaubare Größe. Mehrere Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder (Spielplatz/ Tipi Dorf/etc.)- Preise: Sehr empfehlenswert die Jahreskarte um 45€, der Tageseintritt mit 12€ ist nicht billig ist es aber wert, es gibt auch Kombitickets: Stubenbergsee + Herberstein!- Lage: Wunderschön in die Landschaft integriert 2 Min. entfernt vom malerischen Stubenbergsee- Verpflegung: Mehrere Restaurants und Kantinen im gesamten Areal, Preise für Speisen und Getränke vergleichbar mit jedem anderen Tierpark.- Bei einem Spaziergang durch den Park lohnt es sich das Gartenschloss anzuschauen der Schlossgerten ist wunderschön

Hier finden sie alles, rund um Tiere, was das herz begehrt. Vor allem wen Kinder dabei sind. Ein Erlebnis von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute. Das Speiseangebot könnte etwas besser sein, man ist doch sehr lange im Tierpark und die Auswahl und das Service ist nicht gerade üppig.

Wir waren hauptsächlich wegen den Thermen hier und verbrachten einen Nachmittag in Herberstein. War toll. Viele Tiere und alles sauber dort. Gerne wieder.

ci sono molte specie di animali alcune sono divise solo da una staccionata,ci sono molte varietà di lupi, ma per mia sfortuna ho visto solo 1 in lontananza. all'interno del parco zoo c'è anche un castello, con diverse stanze adibite a museo e un giardino. per chi vuole fare un sosta per mangiare o semplicemente bere qualcosa ci sono vari chioschi all'interno. c'è una zona con caprette, maialini e conigli che girano liberamente e si può giocare con loro. il biglietto ha un costo elevato ma ne vale la pena se vi piacciono gli animali.

Dank seiner Anlage und Weitläufigkeit können hier die Tiere in einer weit natürlicheren Art betrachtet werden als in vielen anderen Tierparks und Zoos. Eine gepflegte Anlage mit sehr guter Beschilderung. Gastronomie ist ausreichend und in guter Qualität vorhanden, viele Ruhebänke laden auf dem Rundkurs zur Rast ein. Auffallend ist die erfrischende Freundlichkeit des gesamten Personals. Alle Tiere machen einen gesunden und lebhaften Eindruck

Die letzten Jahre waren wir immer wieder im Tierpark und Schloss Herberstein, und es ist immer wieder ein schönes Erlebnis. Selbst bei ein wenig Regen kann man unter den Bäumen spazieren und die Tiere beobachten. Große Pluspunkte sind außerdem das schöne Schloss und das mittlerweile umfangrache Gironcoli Museum. Wir kommen wieder.
