Park Gorkovo is a fantastic place to visit around New Year (but still excellent at other times too). There is a giant Christmas Tree and you can visit the house of Grandfather Frost (Dyed Maros). There are also plenty of fairy lights and night time markets selling all sorts of Christmas, New Year and generally festive trinkets. Year round it is nice just to walk the winding footpaths through the trees and visit various monuments of famous Russian historical figures, the most prominant being Lenin. At the main entrance on Bolshaya Sadovaya Ulitsa there are markets during the day selling traditional Russian souvenirs. On the opposite side of the park near Puskinskaya Ulitsa there are attraction rides including a big (old) ferris wheel. It may not come up to western safety standards but it is the best way to get an aerial view of the entire city. There are also plenty of other rides in various stages of workingness if you dare. In the winter the ride operator also hands you a piece of cardboard to sit on so you don't freeze to the seat... I had a ball but it might not be for everyone.

If you are in Rostov on Don Russia in the summer this is a must see. It has tree's and such from around the world and the landscape is done quite well, and the area is kept up-clean and neat quite well also. There are many places to set, look, and or to see, watch people and so on. In the summer you will enjoy the many huge tree's and the shade they offer. The park is very large and you can spend quite some time there. There are rides for the children, horses, out door resturants, a huge farris wheel, beer/tent seating areas, vendors selling ice cream/pop and such. And there is a large and nice resturant (with very good food) called the Golden Fish (can't miss it as there is a huge golden fish over the front door) (high quality ethnic Russian food). A museum, and an out door theater where concerts are played at night. There is really quite a lot to see. Also inside of the park there will be vendors selling art, paintings, Russian nesting dolls, souvenirs, traditional wood workings & so on.This park is located in the city center between the streets of Bolshoi sadova or saldova (big garden street) on the south side of the park. And Pushkin sky-ya (named after the famous Russian poet/story teller) to the north. Music is played in several parts of the park, and often there is someone with a karry-oky/carry-yoki machine. Just outside of the park (on the south side) there are several places to eat, set relax and have a drink. On the north side (located on Pushkin sky-ya) is where a very fine art museum can be found. Good luck, Rostov-na-Donu (Rostov on the Don River) is a beautiful city.

В Ростове Великом был 3 раза. Всё краткосрочные поездки. Сам город, конечно, нуждается в ремонте. Кремль прекрасен!!! Очень хорошая энергетика. Жил 2 раза в других гостиницах, в этот раз поселилась в «Борский двор», потому что тут вроде бы подешевле. Что там, где дороже было, что тут, сервис одинаков. Старенькая мебель, постели застиранные (У меня был свой с собой, мне было не страшно). Стаканы были все. В других отелях не лучше, поверьте.

Если Городские власти отдают парк в аренду,то должны проверять как соблюдаются условия аренды,то есть арендатор должен наводить порядок в парке.

На пересечении улиц Зорге и Стачки уже много лет живез замечательный по красоте парк Сказка, здесь найдется место для каждого: неспешно гуляют пенсионеры, влюбленные пары и мамочки с детками. Парк-настоящий оазис зелени и природы, все здесь на своем месте: деревья, клумбы, лавочки и фонари, чудесные атракционы и кафе! Приходите отдохнуть в Парк Сказка!

Очень красиво) Умеют же люди когда хотят)) и отдохнуть и прогуляться,и фотосессию устроить) фотографии получаются просто шикарные) посетите и убедитесь в этом самостоятельно)!

Красивые скульптуры в греческом стиле и лавочки в античном стиле, фонтаны. Все живописно, романтично. Но ночью гулять страшновато.

Парк в центре города, рядом с театром Драмы. Хорошее место для прогулки с детьми, много интересных для детей площадок, есть зоопарк.
