I agree with the review "Incredible art at an excellent winery”.This Museum in the middle of nowhere is fantastic, remember too book a tour 4-5 days before you arrive, they only have 3-4 tours per day (with 10 people per tour) and you can only enter the museum on a booked tour.

This wine farm was far to reach, but a real find! We drove what felt like days, but it was really worth the effort and dirt roads! The wines were fantastic, the food and presentation by Pedro exceptional! Felt quite amazing to visit one of the highest wine farms in the world!

I'd had next to no knowledge of James Turrell before coming to Colome, and now I am definitely a fan! Visiting the Turrell museum and enjoying the lovely food and wine at Colome was probably the highlight of our 2 weeks in the Salta region. Turrell's perception warping artwork really is amazing!

For those that are fans of James Turrell's work, the pilgrimage aspect of viewing his work is not new but for everyone else who just likes to see contemporary art, the question to ask is whether driving for hours over a dirt track road, most of which is in 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear worth it? ABSOLUTELY. We bounced seemingly forever over the dusty, arid and dramatic terrain. Driving past tiny adobe dwellings. Finally arriving at a large commercial vineyard with a museum dedicated only to James Turrell's work. The contrast is startling. Suddenly you leap forwards in time. The vineyard is impressive and there is an extremely good restaurant too. The museum has 9 large installations as well as large prints and drawings of other works including plans of the Roden Crater in Arizona which is Mr Turrell's life long and immensely ambitious work. The installations are of exceptional quality and span the arc of the artists work from the mid 1960's till the museum was built. The works completely change ones perception of light which, is the medium of his work. They are really breath taking. He is one of the truly great living contemporary artists. The work is almost spiritual. You absorb it as a sensory experience.A couple of notes of advice for those planning to go. PLAN YOUR TRIP CAREFULLY. It is a major commitment to get here. You MUST book in advance with the museum, there are specific times when you can go into see the works, (only in small groups), they aren't keen on children under the age of 12 as the works are delicate. In a country where things are very relaxed this is a pretty rigidly run operation. Go on the website of the museum and read it carefully. If you don't they may well not let you in and you won't get fed! Trust me you want to get fed as the food and wine are delicious and you will be starving! Overall this is a wonderful experience, you won't regret it. GO!

Muuuuy particular, ya estando en la Bodega no se pierde nada visitándolo, de las instalaciones hay una realmente asombrosa, el resto... hay que ponerle onda. Pero la visita vale por la bodega y el entorno (y por el vino "Auténtico"

Si se realiza el recorrido por la Ruta 40 desde Cachi hasta Cafayate, es imposible no desviarse 15 km y conocer la Bodega Colomé y el museo.Platos Gourmet y los mejores vinos de Salta en un paisaje increible

Este museo esta en la Bodega Colomé. El paseo ideal es ir a almorar y luguego hacer la visita al Museo. Hay que reservar antes! Es impresionante que a un hombre se le ocurra hacerle un museo a su artista preferido a 3500 metros de altura. El marco, la bodega, la gente, todo es impagable. pero ademas, adentrarte en la obra de Turrell allí...ver su trabajo con la luz....

Una increible obra de ingeniería que sorprende por la forma en que estan logradas las obras. Algo distinto y pocas veces visto. Increible percibir la luz de esta forma. El unico detalle fue que el guia encendió la luz de su celular en una obra para mostrar como estaba lograda la pieza. Me dieron ganas de matarlo!

Es un Museo totalmente distinto a lo que estamos acostumbrados, tiene unas pinturas, La obra realizada por este artista es algo nunca visto, el juego de luces es Fantástico. Digno de visitar

Este museo, que se encuentra en la bodega Colomé, es muy original y único en el mundo. Reúne varias obras del artista James Turrell, que el dueño de la bodega había adquirido y requieren grandes espacios para ser instaladas. Los juegos de luz asombran y descolocan al espectador. Salas oscuras con una zona luminosa que producen una especie de ilusión óptica y juegos de perspectiva, donde no se sabe dónde hay vacío y dónde materia, y se pierde la noción del espacio. A veces pareciera que se entra en otra dimensión. La entrada al museo es gratuita, pero hay que reservar previamente. Se puede comer y tomar una muy buena copa de vino en el restaurante de la bodega. Para los visitantes que no están con auto, conviene contratar un remís y visitar la bodega y el museo al mediodía, aprovechando para recorrer el precioso trayecto entre Cachi y Cafayate. Hay una obra que sólo se puede apreciar con la puesta del sol. Para eso, conviene hacer noche en el pueblo más cercano, Molinos, que es encantador, en el que está la hacienda del último gobernador de Salta bajo las órdenes del virreinato (que ofrece alojamiento y comidas), muy bien conservada, con su iglesia adyacente.
