This free and comprehensive tour to both sides of the dam was led by very informed guides. It was impressive to see the machinery up close and really understand the amazing power produced by the hydroelectric dam. A bus takes tourists to a view point, the turbine room, across the service bridge and the regular bridge. It was a great tour with a video beforehand about the history of the dam.

The Dam is situated 20 km at north of the city, is one the most important hydroelectric dam of the country. Also, it connect Argentina (Concordia city) and Uruguay (Salto City) by a bridge. In this uruguayan city you can find the biggest "Complejo Termal" of the region, with pools at 40o. water temp. and very good ofert of hotel and restaurants.

I went to visit this dam and I have to say that it was really interesting. Every hour a free guided tour begins. I had one in Spanish and I don't know if you can have it in English but anyway it is worth the visit. You will learn many incredible things...

A free guided tour (only in Spanish) that includes a video of the history of the dam followed by a 20-30 min guided tour of the dam which goes all the way into the argentinan side and back. Highly recommended.

Ao chegar lá,aproveite para olhar o filme que eles mostram contando a história desde a construção da mesma,logo depois faça o passeio de van com quia mostrando toda a usina que e binacional,a entrada e franca

Las visitas si o si son el colectivos de la represa! Un guia turistico explica como se maneja, como funciona y todo lo relacionado a la represa. Tambien hay un mini museo con partes de la represa y reseñas historicas del lugar. La verdad muy lindo. Es para aprovechar en dias lluviosos o feos que no se puede hacer mucho al aire libre.

gran obra de ingenieria!! excelente esta visita, si estas por ahi es imposible que te la pierdas. Se entiende como se desarrollo toda la zona que ahora se transformo en algo turistico muy bueno!!

La obra de Salto grande la viví en mi infancia, la estudiábamos en la escuela , la he visitado varias veces además de mejorar la situación energética de la región fue un cambio muy drástico para la zona sobre todo para la vieja ciudad de Federación que quedó bajo el agua y se edificó una nueva.El lago es un lugar bello y que además permita pescar, lo recomiendo.

Visita guiada gratis! Cuenta con un museo en el cual se aprecian todos los detalles de la represa y un vídeo. Luego realizan una visita guiada sobre los alrededores y la casa de maquinas. Muy bueno
