Looking for a seven-eyed exotic cuckoo bird from the Andes? You could probably find it on this street! They have everything you could possible want. Watch your pocketbook and wallet; there are people everywhere, but for colorful shopping fun, Calle Sagarnaga can't be beat!

A different place... Sagárnaga Street is a good place, where you can do most of the things you need in La Paz such as buying souvenirs to booking an attraction. Is also a good place to buy warm clothes to handle the cold La Paz city!

This was the best part of my trip to La Paz. I was able to purchased a ton of Alpaca textiles (rugs, sweaters, slippers etc.) for super cheap! The best part of this experience was the haggling. When I started out I was a bit shy, but towards the end I was a haggling champ! Next time I come back, I'm definitely going to splurge on more rugs. If you come to La Paz and you're a collector of textiles, bring an extra empty suitcase... You'll need it!Be forewarned, if you're coming with a stroller or somebody in a wheelchair the roads are uneven, broken and not a ramp in sight. We went with an elderly person in a stroller and it ended up requiring a lot of work.

Just a few blocks away from San Francisco church. It´s worth the walk. I did not buy anything but I took some really good pics on this street. Souvenirs, hidden coffee places, quaint shops. A lot of fun...a visual experience.

No need to tell too much about this place because sooner or later tourist go over there. Lots of souvenir, bargains, from original pre-inca remains (illegal to trade and criminal if taken abroad) to contemporary art, from lama wool to silver goods, from textiles to typical musical instruments, from local tourist to tourist from all around the globe. If it is not shopping, taking pictures is very much interesting to capture the flavour of this part of the city. Many places to eat and few bars for the night. Pay attention after 10pm when there is no traffic in the streets and few people walking around; streets are dark and one thing leads to another.

No matter how many times one walks Sagarnaga up and down, there will always be a new passage, store, street vendor, food stall or public scene. This is the spirit of La Paz, one can get good quality or quantity at the right price
