We stayed in the little house on top of the hill overlooking the vineyards and sea. The location was very nice, the people were very nice - the house itself was OK. There were 4 of 2 - 2 couples. The house had two bedrooms with queen size beds and two bathrooms - not attached to the bedrooms. So each couple had to walk out of the bedroom to find there bathroom. The sitting area did have a great view of the vineyards but only had 1 love seat for 2 people, 1 chair and 1 foot stool. Therefore all 4 of us could not sit in the sitting area comfortably. Yes we did use the outside patio which was great but at night we had to come in or freeze. The cleanliness of the kitchen was somewhat questionable. It was dirty just not real clean. The water in the shower on a good day was a dribble on a bad day was a drip. Heaven help you if someone turned on the tap to brush there teeth when you were in the shower. It also liked to go from hot to cold sometimes. We had breakfast brought up to us - which was not bad and had lunch and a wine tasting at the winery. The lunch was local chilean food - way too much of it - some of it was not too our tastes. The wine also was not to our tastes - we like our red wine strong and bold. We thought the red wines we tasted were weak to our palettes, some of the whites were good, but again at the prices they charged would not walk away with any of it given the great wines in both Argentina and Chile. But wine is to individual taste and these did not appease ours. We paid $400USD a night plus the lunch and wine tasting. On a cost vs benefit approach, compared to other wineries, hotels, and B&B we had visited in the previous 4 weeks in Argentina and Chile, Casa Marin was at the bottom of the scale. The price was just too high for everything we got. WE enjoyed our stay but came away thinking "over-priced".

We stayed for a couple of days in Geronimo villa. It was so cosy, relaxing. A bit far from villa and tour, they could also arrange a dinner in villa. It will be more cosy to do this.

I highly recommend the family owned and operated boutique winery of Casa Marin if your looking for a quiet place to unwind. My husband and I stayed in the Jeronimo Villa our first night and then moved to the Miramar Villa for two more nights at Casa Marin. The Jeronimo Villa is a one bedroom rustic cottage in the middle of the vineyard. I much preferred the more modern Miramar Villa at the top of the hill in the vineyard with its awesome deck with brick grill, comfortable living room facing a picture window with views of the vineyard. The beds are comfortable as well. Upon arriving our first night we were escorted to our cabin and then we drove back to the main house for dinner. Dinner was simple and served with Casa Marin's excellent Pinot Noir. The villa kitchen is stocked with wine, coffee, tea and water. The following morning we walking through the vineyard and then enjoyed a cup of coffee on the deck while waiting for breakfast to be delivered to our cabin. After breakfast we took off for the coast and drove to Algorrobo for lunch. We picked up some groceries in Casablanca on our return and enjoyed a great dinner we prepared on the outdoor grill. The following day we toured the Casa Marin winery and then visited Valparaiso that afternoon. Following breakfast on our last day we toured other wineries in the Casblanca valley suggested by Maria Luz, the owner of Casa Marin, before returning to Santiago.

We have visited 4 wineries in three days. Cara Marin was founded b a woman and believe me, every attention to detail has been noted. The winery tour was very informative. The whole process was explained by a young woman from Belgium who was working at the winery for this month. She was knowledgeable about wine and left no question unanswered. We also had lunch at the winery and it really was one of the better ones. Fresh fish and wonderful salad and of course, more wine. During the wine tasting, they gave 4 generous glasses. Also, several of us bought fleece vests. Of of us is very time and the waitress gave my friend the vest off her back. What more could you ask for? Don't miss it. Skip the big wineries.

Awesome! A passionate family business making on the best white wines (sauvignon blanc & gris, riesling) of Chile! Also their Pinot Noir and Syrah are truly delicious. They offer a vertical tasting that is quite unique, as far as I know only Errazuriz offers this as well in Chile. The tour is very nice with lots of time to explain all details. Afterwards don't forget to get some ribs at el sauce in the same village.I recommend to detour a bit and visit this lovely place. Besides the winery you also can stay with casa marin in one of their cabins in the vineyard, even better!

Vina Casa Marin was founded by a woman who loves wine. She was the first woman in Chile who did it. We did wine tasting there and this experience was unforgettable. Sauvignon Gris was unique and unusual (it was first time when I tried it). Riesling is also great. Jamie is nice, thank her for interesting talk.I wish I could buy this wine in Russia. They have accommodation to stay - next time we will stay there.Vina Casa Marin has internship - I am sure it could be a very interesting experience.Good years to their wines. Will come back one day.

No doubt, the location is excellent. And the two cottages are romantic and very well kept. The smaller one is the better choice, but this is a question of taste. The income service is friendly. And the winery is specialiced of high level wines. Of course they are expensive. So far so good. But be carefull what Casa Marin offers biside wines and the cottages: A "Wine Tour" for 28 USD per person is a 30 minutes explanation of the wine making process by a chraming volonteer, who gives also not very experienced wine lovers not more knowledge than they know at least. The "degustation" caontains three wines of the standard category of the winery, not more. And the "dinner" the Casa Martin offers for 35 USD pp is an impudence: A mash of avocados and onions as starter followed by a sort of corn tortilla and as a dessert a simple flan. It is as poor as the brakfast (which is included to the price of the cottage). - Our hint: Book the small cottage, buy wine after checking the wine list in the office of the winery, renounce the breakfast and go for lunch oder dinner to a restaurant just rond the corner. "La Sauca" They have good local wines and food for a fair price.

I love this winery. I have some friends who live locally and know the owners. I visited this time last year and resolved to find this wine back in Canada, however, their distributor in Canada doesn't sell it (which is strange...) This year I brought back a case of their amazing Sauv Blanc, Sauv Gris and Gertz. I also like their Riesling. It's a small intimate winery, with lovely staff and a great attitude to service (unlike the other large one in the area, with the horse logo.) Well worth a visit, and if you can find their wine locally, stock up!On the tour last year I also brought my 4 month old son (at the time), and they were wonderfully accommodating.

Wine was one of the greatest we tasted on our trip. Jamie is a great presenter.Worthwhile to make a side trip from Casablanca valley

Great opportunity if you want to spend the $ (wine geeks only?) for a vertical of sauv blanc or pinot with the wine maker. Quite a variety of soils right on sight. Unique for Chile in their coastal setting. You can also stay here.Warning: their english language directions left out one turn from Casablanca Valley, although the map on their website was indeed accurate.
