We stumbled on this little gem of a museum while returning from a shopping trip to Osorno. Even if cars don't interest you go there anyway because it also has an incredible collection of retro memorabilia from the last 100 years or so. We were lucky enough to be shown around it by the charming owner, Senor Bernardo Eggers, which made our visit all the more special. His passion is for Studebakers and I couldn't believe it when I saw a 1961 Lark VI which was a car my parents had when I was a girl! My companion was bowled over by an Avanti while I was seduced by a sporty red Champion. As we were only out shopping I hadn't brought my camera but Bernardo, who is also an award-winning professional photographer, kindly took some photos for us and emailed them to us a few days later. There is so much more there but I won't spoil it, go and see for yourselves - you won't be disappointed! There is also a small café where you can have a light lunch or the traditional 'onces' (afternoon tea/coffee and cakes or pastries).

The museum is amazing! We spent hours there! You can take pictures of everything. Take a fast lens (< 2.8) because the light is a little bit dark inside, so you gonna need it. I loved the cars in that collection. We travelled all around the south of Chile and this museum was one of the best place we visited. It's a little bit far but it's worth the travel. They got a nice coffee shop outside.

This museum is located on the side of the route that takes you from argentina-chile border to osorno. Its unbelievable how poorly advertised this museum is considering such a great collection of old cars and memorabilia. Very well maintained and very decent collection, interesting for the whole family.

Our group was traveling on Route 215 from Puerto Varas toward Bariloche, Argentina when we stopped at this auto museum. Rock music from the 50s and 60s is playing as you are amazed by the collection of antique cars (at least 70 or 80), including dozens of Studebakers, that fill multiple large display rooms that go on and on. We especially liked the three-wheeled BMW, an Avanti and an original Mini. I wonder if Jay Leno knows about this place. A really pleasant surprise in our trip over the Andes.

Lindo lugar!!
